Remember

Hi! Second post today! It’s because I’ve been wanting to make a card for Kort og Godt’s August challenge all month but got to it this afternoon… The challenge closes in 30 minutes…. anyway, I loved the recipe challenge: to use a text stamp as main image, turquoise, lace, ribbon and three brads. Love all of that!!! And I’ve also used my favorite Kort og Godt product – the metal flowers. LOOOOOVE them!

RememberI used a Heidi Swapp stamp I got in my very first kit I ever bought three years ago. I’ve used it once on a layout I never finished. Soooo, it’s time to give it a new life. And I really love how it came out with some clear embossing resist. The  text stamp in the background is Hero Arts. All the beeeautiful papers are scrap pieces of Riddersholm Design, Turquoise Hills (och jag kan tipsa om att Scraplagret har 40% på dem just nu!)

I’ve used Kazan’s gorgeous sketch #60 over at 2Sketches4You.

I’m off to play yatzy with my boy. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Free!!!

Hi folks! Hope you had a good start of the week. I know I did. I love the university the first days of the new year. And I got a niiiice parking lot not too far away. Small pleasures…

Well at home I made a layout using one of the patterned papers I’ve been hoarding for some time. I don’t know what it is, but I love this MME lush paper sooo much. But I found just the right sketch and photo and got to it.

Fri!!

This is my niece last summer by the lake. We had a wonderful time, the kids running free on the cliffs all day. We were all by ourselves.

I used sketch #119 from Creative Scrappers:

But it’s also the turn of the summer, so I had to balance this summer sweetness with some Halloween scares… LOL!

Halloween3The Halloween stamps are new Prickley Pear rubber. Soooo fun to work with!!! And lookie, more fabbon wrinkled ribbons by Sherry!!!

The sketch used is from Card Patterns!

I got to RUN!!!! Have a great day!!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!

Hello!!!

Today is my parents 41th wedding anniversary! Congratulations!!! Love you! Hope you two have a wonderful Cruise!!!

Here is the card I sent them:

happy anniversary

Check out the fabbie card base! It’s beautiful thick paper I got from Amy with matching envelopes! LOVE them!!! I used Get Sketchy sketch #53. The flowers are the Hibiscus from Prickley Pear and the sentiment are gorgeous SRM stickers.

Today is the first of three days of chaos at work. All the new students arrive, EVERYBODY is there and quite a few have no clue where to go. It means it’s crowded. No parking lot in sight, not a chance to get lunch in time. But the corridors are filled with excitement and it’s good to be going again! I just wish I didn’t have to take the car!!!

I spent the weekend recharging my batteries to be prepared. By the scrap desk. Most of the time. I DID clean the house too. LOL! One of the things I made was a card and altered a present box for a special friend.

Happy Birthday S

I used a hand printed Japanese special paper I’ve been hoarding forever. It has a wonderful texture and a soft vanilla colored background with blue-green flowers. I love it.  The stamp is from Inkido and the sentiment is SRM stickers. I used Sketch Saturday’s sketch #118 for this one.

And here is the gift box, using the Friday sketchers sketch #117.

hooray 2

I hope she will like it!

Have a fab day and thanks for stopping by!

Super Sketchy Sunday and a layout

Hi!!! It’s Sunday and time for a new sketch over at 365 cards.

I loved this one, I knew at once what to do. And so did the rest of the team… (one could say that great minds think alike…).

Here is my snowman.

Let it snow I used the Baby it’s cold outside set from The Rubber Café and some cherished BG paper from way back.  You have to pop over to the 365 cards blog and check the snow man parade out!!! LOL! Hope you’ll play with us too, there is a RAK from Pam for one lucky winner!

***

Here is a layout I did yesterday using beautiful Riddersholm Design papers from the Turquoise Hill collection. They go perfect with the brownish grey colors of my photo. It’s dear son playing amongst the troll statues in Gamleby. The whole mountain side is dressed up with lots and lots of statues of trolls. We find new trolls hidden away every time we’re there. LOL!

Trollunge

The design is based on Creative Scrappers’ fabbie sketch #116.

Here is a little close up of the bird. Love how the colors and crackle accent ended up!

Trollunge detaljI’m also entering this in  Scrap and Stamp’s button challenge. I’ve used three buttons and five stamps (four different owls and the text stamp used on the flowers).

I wish you a wonderful Sunday!

King of the play ground

Happy Saturday! We are having a cloudy and rainy day here (just like the last month or so…) But I’m not complaining. It’s a perfect day for what I will be doing – cleaning the house and scrapbook.

I started with making a layout this morning with a photo from spring 2008. Dear son is playing off, calling himself “king of the play ground” and constantly yelling “Mom, check me out!!! Jag ÄGER” (the last part not possible to translate really, a direct translation is I own (meaning I am the best, sort of).

han äger I used some of my favorite stuff on this one – stamps from Prickley Pear (stains and crown) and Magnolia (banner), patterned paper from GCD studios, my last cardboard chippie from Inkido, and I used my oh so loooved Double Loops Edge punch from MS. No flowers and no lace. I don’t know what happened…

I’ve had several questions lately about my edge punch, and it’s not a new one, only a slightly modified Double Loops. I simply cut off the outer loop. and there you have a single loop.

Edgepunch

I used this fabbie sketch #118 from Creative Scrappers:

I also made this page for Amy’s Flashback 2.0 challenge. That devious woman is challenging her readers to make a new layout AND post it together with ones FIRST ever scrapbook page. Scheeez. Well, I can do that. I’m not sure this is the first, cause I did two at the same time working on them for several weeks… But this layout is the first page in my first album, so this one it is.

Flisan Well, what can I say… I had been shopping some papers in December 2006  (Basic Grey and Chatterbox) but I could not cut them… I was patting them for a month or so and decided early in 2007 to get to business. Still couldn’t cut in them… so I used some cardstock, paint and lace instead… I got the flower pattern from an IKEA box, and look at the lace!!! I loved lace right from the beginning. And black cardstock.  Look at my westie!!!! She was the cutest EVER!!!!

I’m off for some house cleaning. When it’s done, I’ll have the afternoon free for scrapbooking! YAY! Hope you have a super Saturday!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

TGIF!!!

It’s Friday and I’m happy. It’s been a busy week, and we have a fun weekend ahead of us. Starting in only a couple of hours. Yihaa!

I was playing some in my scrap room late last night and have two cards to share. First up is a Vintage Thank You card. A little too much of everything, especially bows… but I like it anyway. LOVE the patterned paper and yes, I love that Magnolia tag that I’ve used too much lately. I’ll let it rest for a week.

Thank You S I did this one for a couple of challenges. I used Our Creative Corner’s lovely sketch #30  and I’m also  entering it in  Creatalicious Vintage challenge.

My second card is for .. wee Memorie’s .. Sweet Treats with Ribbon on top Challenge. This was FUN!!! I paper pieced the Magnolia ice cream and coated it with some glossy accents and cotton candy stickles. Yummy!!!

Woo Hoo!! 2 I better head back to work. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you will have a great Friday!!!

The Sea

Jonathan has always loved the sea. We’ve spent many vacations in Denmark by beautiful beaches. Our favorite moments are late evenings, when the sun is setting and the beach is almost empty, counting the waves and jump away for the big 7th one… I thought it’d be perfect to use one of my favorite Denmark photos (this one is from 2008) on my first official layout as a Riddersholm Design DT member. I loved how these papers from the Happy Party line had the brown/beige sandy colors and hints of pinks just like the sky on the photo.

hav 2 I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the swirl and poppies and I love how they turned out. There is still time to participate in Riddersholm Design’s WATER/BEACH THEME CHALLENGE!!! Due date is August 29th. All the details can be found HERE (in Danish… lol).

I used the gorgeous sketch by Dilorf for the monthly Sketch Challenge over at Svensk Scrapbooking (Swedish Forum).

I have a card too, also made with Riddersholm’s papers. This time from the Turquoise Hill collection. I did a tent card, using my mom’s new Nestabilities dies. Why didn’t I get a set of these???? Oh well, I’m waiting for two other sets (bought BEFORE my non shopping challenge started, only not arrived yet since they are new releases and my shop must be at the bottom of Spellbinder’s delivery list) and I think I’ll love them too.

Spead... The bird and sentiment are from the Prickley Pear  Build a Bird set.  The card is made for Sketchy Colors  sketch challenge #35. FUN sketch with loooots of layers. I simplified some…

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Wednesday night!!!

Two chocolate thank you:s

I have a wonderful little LSS, Ljuva Änglar,  where I shop way too often (with a break right now for another 67 projects….). It’s been closed over the summer (yikes!!!) but when the need has been to great to bear, it’s been possible to give the owner, Eva, a call and meet up at the store!!! Last week, when I was completely out of cardstock (I knoooow, how could that happen???) she was like 8 hours away visiting family when I phoned her. What did she do??? Arranged for one of her DT members, Sarah, to meet up instead! How sweet is that???? Very!!! So I made them each a thank you chocolate card/alter to show my appreciation.

Chokladtack 2 I used the lovely card sketch from Sketchy Thursdays for the first one.

A lot of stamps, but the main flower is the  Hibiscus stamp from Prickley Pear  I’ve used over and over again lately… Dear son said: Well, Mom it’s beautiful and all, but shouldn’t you use something else for a change???? So I did for the second one.

Chokladtack 1

These are also Prickley Pear stamps, but from another clear stamp set – the Build a Bird set. I used Laura’s beautiful sketch #59 over at 2Sketches4You, but strayed some.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!!! Have a great day!

My home town (or what?)

Happy Monday folks! We have a sunny and bright morning here today and that feels great after quite some time with gloomy weather. I have a layout to share today. It’s been in my head for almost a month – ever since GCD Studios posted their home town challenge and Page Maps blog a great multi photo sketch. It’s the perfect match. I’ve only waited for the right time to take my son and the camera on a bike tour to document this place. Cause it is nothing I’ve ever documented before. This is not a beautiful little town in any way (not like my childhood place. *sniff*). There are a few nice sceneries, but in fact it’s a rather dull place… LOL! So it was fun to take photos which would never ever have been taken other wise of the important landmarks for our family.

Bo i Forshaga All the patterned papers are from  GCD Studios – Ava Collection and the flower stamps are from the Clearly Beautiful Hibiscus set from Prickley Pear.  Here is the beautiful sketch Page Maps:

I struggled with the title! What do you call the town where you’ve lived for the past ten years but still don’t call your “home town” cause that will forever be exclusive for the place where you grew up? I don’t know, really. I finally decided on the diplomatic title: Living in Forshaga. It’s not that I don’t like it here, it’s just that I could easily move to any other place in not too far a distance from my job if I found I new house that I liked. I love my house, and find the town ok. LOL!

Take care and thanks for stopping by!

happy birthdayCheck out the fabbie ribbon – can’t get enough of it!!! It’s made by Sherry!!!

Then I’ve spent this morning making a couple of challenges at our A Page in Time crop. First up is MaryAnn’s Movie challenge. To be inspired by a movie of ones choice in any way. Well, this one is inspired by 4 weddings and 1 funeral. Mainly by the theme of the photos, where the bride throws her wedding bouquet. The CatchLOOOOVE these Mama-razzi papers!!! They are from this months A Page in Time kit. I used Bonus Sketch #2 over at Stuck?!

And finally, a really QUICK card for Cammy’s brilliant Quickie Card Challenge. dream It is sooo easy, I did it in like five minutes (well, make it ten, cause my sewing machine wasn’t fully cooperating), and I love how it came out with the warm orange colors!!!

I’ll be spending the day cropping!!! Yihaaa! Hope you’ll have a great Sunday too!!!

I love Sundays!!!

Hi folks! I have a layout to share today for my challenge over at A Page in Time for the 6 years celebration. Hope you want to play!!! I did it a simple one – use a STAMP (or more!!!) on your layout!!! Why only use the stamps on the cards??? Here is my page with lot’s of stamping – I’ve used 9 stamps!!! But for you – one is enough! If you want to play (which I HOPE – it’s open for everyone) you have until Sunday and all info can be found HERE.

Jag hjärta söndagar 2

The APiT kit I used on this layout is June 2010 – Pink Paislee papers. I added some of my favorite stamps and letters. The stamping part is to enhance the theme: My favorite day and moment of the week. That would be Sunday mornings  – on my Sunday mornings I usually STAMP… LOL! See my Distress inks and newest stamps in the background??? :):):)

I also did this page for a couple of other challenges. First up is These are a few of my favorite things which has the theme Favorite Weekday. Second is the sketch challenge over at Scrap and Stamp. GREAT sketch!!!

Soooo, if you make a new layout as of today and incorporate at least one stamp on it – you are welcome to play along with us over at A Page in Time. All info can be found HERE.

I’ll be back with a new challenge on Saturday when the crop starts!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great Thursday!
