Happy Heartfelt Day and Happy Halloween!!!

Hi!  If you are looking for my Heartfelt Creations Alumni blog hop post you can find it here.
I have some exciting news to share today - I was accepted as a Heartfelt Creations Design Team Member for the coming 6 months! YAY for me!!!! :) And for the rest of the team! :) It's extra fun to see that some of my old HC friends are also on the team! I can't wait to get started properly. Next week I'll share the projects I did for the final round.

Since it's Halloween I thought I'd share a little card set with card holder I did a while back to send to a friend. Do you see the skeleton hands peeking out from under the coffin lids? Should have used a colored background...

Happy Halloween set
The papers are from Pink Paislee and Crate (the orange) and the stamps and dies are from Prickley Pear. Used loads of distress inks on this project. The box holds three cards.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!

Tesa Broman – you are here!
I have two cards to share today. I’ll start with one of my new favorite flower stamp set – the AMAZING Aster:
Asterkort 1
The set is called Delicate Aster PreCut Set and the flowers are cut out with the coordinated Delicate Asters Die. They are heat embossed with copper embossing powder and layered. The papers used are from the Classic Editions Paper Collection. The flower is mounted on die cuts from Spellbinders Labels One and Decorative Labels One. I left it without sentiment.
My second card is a Christmas card – can’t have to many of those…
Merry Christmas
The focal stamp is the Poinsettia Spray PreCut Set with additional poinsettia layers from the Petite Poinsettias PreCut Set. Sentiment is from the Holiday Poinsettia Candle PreCut Set. I added loads of stickles for some serious sparkle. :) The papers are from Riddersholm DesignA Christmas Story.
To continue the hop, go over to the one and only amazing Olga and have fun!!!

SSD Sketch Challenge

Hi! Tuesday means a new sketch from Skipping Stones Design! We are playing with retro sketches this month and this oldie but goldie was made by Jen Del Muro.

SSD152
And here is my card:
SSD 152

I pulled out my favorite set for the background panel: Grunge. I stamped the fab wood grain on a Kraft cardstock with Walnut stain and inked the edges with Vintage photo. Love how it goes with the patterned paper from Echo Park. The wine glass and sentiment is from the hilarious set Grapeful. I went for a glass look by adding some stickles for wine and then go over the whole glass with glossy accent.

Hope you want to play with us! All info about the challenge can be found HERE on the Skipping Stones Design Blog. You do not have to use SSD stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Money holder card/wallet

Hi all! I’ve realized I often begin my Monday posts with a “Happy Monday”! Not so much today. We were  supposed to wake up to snow, but the prognosis was wrong (ironic snort here), we woke up to heavy rain. I’d prefer snow over rain just above freeze temperature any day! Worst part is I have to go out in it. Sigh. First some blogging and a hot cup of Tea. :)

My boy was to a Halloween themed birthday party this Saturday. None of my suggestions for presents were ok, he was insisting of giving away money. I’m not that fond of giving away money but I'm so lame when comes to my boy so I ended up giving in and instead of a present I made the two birthday girls a card to keep the money in using some Halloween themed stamps from The Rubber Cafe.

Money holder card 1

They are quite simple, but a bit 3D to go as both card and envelope sort of. They are closed with a girdle decorated with stamps from the Pumpkin Face Mix-N-Match. Heat embossed and colored with distress inks.

Money holder card 3

The inside keeps a money holder part and a writing spot and is decorated with stamps from the Trick or Treat Set.

Money holder card 2

The boy was happy and the girls liked their cards and the money and they had a blast at the party, so it ended all good. :)

Hope to see you back here tomorrow when there will be both a new Sketch challenge for Skipping Stones Design and a Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog hop.

Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday card

Hi! Happy Wednesday!

My co worker turned 50 last week and spent the big day in Rome getting married (after 25 years of engagement). Way to go! We are celebrating him tonight and I got the honor to make the card. Since no one had any idea of the marriage thing until his return to work yesterday – with a ring on his finger! – the card is only a birthday card. (and frankly I don’t know what I’d do with a combined birthday and wedding card so I’m happy about that!) :)

Martin 50

Used some wonderful MME papers, the last full papers from this pad. Sigh. I’ll miss them! Great sketch as usual from Mojo Monday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Framed Window Card

 Hi!
Happy Monday!
We have some sun here, haven't seen it for two weeks so it was a welcome sight this morning! Makes me smile!!! :)

Monday is my blog day with The Rubber Cafe and today I'm sharing a small tutorial on how to make this Framed Window Card - specially made for both some 3D effect on the front and a decorated and hence bulky inside.

Winows 5

The stamps used are Warm & Cozy Warren and Christmas Tidings.

Window 6

All patterned papers used are from Riddersholm Design - A Christmas Story.

Start each day with “whee”!

Happy Saturday!

I’m enjoying one work free day in a now clean house. Life is good! :)

I had an hour to play in my scrap room and I felt like doing something “cute”. :) I was so happy when I found this little set from My Favorite Things among my very neglected stash of red rubber of other brands than “my” companies. She is stamped on water color paper and colored with Distress markers.

Whee

I love to color. I need to start doing it more often! The paper is from MME.

The design is based on Sketch Saturday #230

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fab weekend!!!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi all! Happy Wednesday!!!

It’s such a good day today! I’m going to a mini crop with friends tonight and I’m going shopping in my LSS for some new goodies before I go there. Couldn’t be better! :) Especially since my LSS got the Basic Grey Aspen Frost papers the other day. Love that line! :)

We have a birthday lady at work. She is turning “something” on Thursday and I got to make the card. She likes fall colors and bling, so I used the purple and goldish colored paper from Riddersholm DesignChantilly Dawn and teamed it up with the AMAZING Delicate Aster PreCut Set from Heartfelt Creations. I got these babies from HC to make my Design Team Finalist projects with, and let me tell you I had some serious fun!!! You’ll see the result in a couple of weeks when the finalists are announced – either I’m one of them or not. The suspense for this position is killing me! :)

Grattis 1

I stamped and heat embossed 8 flowers in different sizes and cut them out with the coordinated Delicate Asters Die, dry embossed some to shape them and then layered them for a fall Aster flower. I finished it off with some Diamond sparkle mist so it actually shines a bit.

Grattis 2

I added small Zva rhinestone swirls for the extra bling. And look at that patterned paper! Not hard to understand why it’s a favorite! I’m proud to say I de hoarded it and cut into my last piece of it.

Here is the inside. Kept it clean with lots of space for all the friends and co workers to write their names.

Grattis 3

I used this lovely sketch from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday:

SSD Sketch #150

We are playing with retro sketches all month long over at Skipping Stones Design. And this week it’s a really fun and versatile one by Heidi Van Laar.

SSD 150

The whole team is playing with the goodie set Fangs and Fur, specially made for all you Twilight lovers out there…

So many fun sentiments on this one!!! :)

Here is my take. I’m more of a Team Edward kind of gal, but the recipient is NOT! You know who you are!!! :) I think this will suit her!

Team Jacob

Papers from Crate.

Soooo, hope to see you play along this week! You do not have to have any SSD stamps. All info about the challenge can be found on the Skipping Stones Design Blog.

Many Thanks

Hi all! Happy Monday!
What a weekend! I got tons of stuff done, like cleaning my house and meeting a job related deadline and going to an art exhibition and having a dinner for some friends and… phew! I didn’t spend one minute in my scrap room though. So I have a serious paper craft urge right now and I plan to make it up to myself tonight. :)
Today’s card is a black and pink creation for The Rubber Café using Floral background and Many thanks.
Many Thanks
This Floral Background stamp is a beauty and perfect for heat embossing. I used my new Decorative Labels One for the card base and an Inkit flower from Riddersholm Design.
Have a fab new week!!!

Christmas Cards…

…are super fun to make. Especially when the one has such gorgeous papers like the A Christmas Story line from Riddersholm Design. I love the colors and the subtle patterns. And the fact they come in both full 12x12 size and in a 6x6 paper pad. This card is made with the larger papers.

Happy Day

Hi! Happy Monday!
Today’s card is a heavy one in multiple layers. I had this idea of making a window scenery with both a brick wall facade and some dimension with curtains and wallpaper inside. I really like the result. Though the card ended up a heavy piece…. Modeling Paste sure ads on weight! :)

The stamp set I use for this card is from The Rubber Cafe and is called Window Garden.
Happy Day 2
I started with making the panel, trimming it, stamping the window where I wanted it and cut it out to get a hole, the right size. Then I used my brick wall stencil and some modeling paste and once dried I colored it with gesso. This is sooo much fun!!!
Happy Day 3

I tried to get some dimension to get the feel of a room inside the window. Some scrap paper for wall paper and curtains out of wide organza ribbon tied with thin satin ribbons.

I love this flower bed of tulips. It makes me think of spring. A good thought right now when everything is getting darker... I colored the flowers and the box with Distress markers and did some fussy cutting.

Take Two…

What a fantastic weekend I’ve had. I’ve spent it with the people I love the most in a beautiful 16th century mansion with fantastic food, good wines, live music and lots and lots of laughs. :) And I got a great start too, a very happy mail from Ms Opel landed in my mailbox  Friday night. YAY! I’ll have a card in Card Creations: volume 11!!! Happy dance! :)

I started on a second take on the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday and thought I’d share the result.

Love make all...

The paper is from American Crafts, stamps are from the beautiful Heartsong set from Skipping Stones Design. I covered the bird and notes and the stitched border first with some Scrap Happy Glue and then You’re So Fine Glitter.

Love makes all... detalj

It sparkles. :)

Here is the sketch, again… But I did change it a bit this time around…

I’m off to make dinner. Thanks for stopping by!

LOVE

What a week! Only two days to go! This weekend will be special since we are going a way on a surprise trip with my parents and my MIL to celebrate their birthdays. I’m so looking forward to it! And to have this crazy week over and done with! :) I’m so thankful for this hobby to give me some creative outlet and time to breath!

Here is a super quick card. Totally fun to make!

Love you splatter 1h

Love the bold colors of the Dylusions Mist! Need more of those!

Love you splatter 2

The stamps are from The Rubber Café: Steampunk and Fabulous Phrases. I also used their Pugnacious Signature Paper – the best smooth cardstock I’ve ever tried!

I used this super fun sketch from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday. I actually started a second card with the same sketch, might finish it tonight… :)

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Skipping Stones Design Sketch #148

Hi!
Happy Tuesday!
Tuesday means a new sketch challenge over at Skipping Stones Design. We are working with retro sketches this month and we have some great ones in store for you! This week’s sketch is by Pamela Young and I loved working with it.

SSD148
I decided to go with some paper pleating for the striped design element. I used some old but fab (been hoarding) Pink Paislee papers.
You make my heart sing
Do you see the tone in tone stamped background? The background stamp is from the Timeless Texture set which I adore! The feather is from Victorian Summer set and the sentiment is from Heartsong.
Hope to see you play this week – all info about the challenge can be found HERE!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Rose Canvas

Hi! Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I had my BFF visiting with her man for a couple of days and we had so much fun. I feel so refreshed after a few good meals, many laughs and lots of love that I start this new week (which has a CRAZY schedule) with a smile on my face. :) Wish she lived closer!

I have a canvas to share today. I did it for The Rubber Cafe last week.

Canvas 1

I had some serious fun with the large Wild Rose stamp. It’s a beauty!!!! I had this idea of making a set of two canvases – the canvas missing was decorated with the rest of the rose and a big beautiful sentiment. It was a good idea until I spilled a cup of tea over the other part. So a solitaire it is.

I used some vintage newspaper, gesso, modeling paste and You’re so fine glitter in layers. I did some splashing too. :)

Canvas 7

The sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases and is framed by a Tim Holtz metal frame.

Have a wonderful day and thank you soooo much for stopping by!!!
