My Funny Valentine

Hi! Popping in real quick from Branäs where we are on a little skiing vacation. BAD internet, I had to bring my laptop to the cafeteria to post this. And work some. I’m done working, and let me say it’s a lot more fun when having a cold beer and a winter white beautiful view while at it… :):):)

Here is my Prickley Pear card of the week. I’ve used some new beautiful red rubber: The Hearts ATC and My Funny Valentine. I colored the Hearts ATC with copics and then covered it with glitter. And used glittery green cardstock so this one sparkles!

I used this fabbie sketch as inspiration for the design:

It’s for the monthly sketch challenge Sketch For You To Try. I’ve had it on my desk all month, so it' was just about time to use it!!!

Off for a beer in the sauna before going out for dinner. Life is good!

Gaudi

I’m still working on our Barcelona Album. I make a page now and then and it’s slowly starting to come together. Might be done within a year… :)

Gaudi

Here are a few photos of the amazing Gaudi’s buildings and I went a bit crazy with gesso, mists, stamps and water colors. It was sooooo much fun! The layout is based on a sketch by Pia for Practical Scrappers.

And I have a card from last week too, I made this last Saturday for Card Patterns sketch challenge and The Rubber Café blog. But I never found the time to post it. So here it goes. A week later. :)

I love you2

A lot of fab The Rubber Café stamps on this one. Clock and Butterfly from the Vintage Treasures set and the sentiment from my all time favorite Just My Type. I made the flower out of Scrap Happy Glue (THE best glue on the market) toile and a pearl. You HAVE to check this video about glots and fabric/fringe flowers out!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

LESSology Challenge Floral Delight

Hi! Happy Thursday! It’s crazy busy at work – still. Which is why I’m not around as much as I use to and want to. Just so you know. :) And that is one of the reasons I made todays project. A canvas to remember me to BREATH! I'll hang it in my office!

I made it for LESSology's Floral Delight Challenge - to use blooms on your altered project (while including something upcycled!) :)

The flower base is a fabbie crochet flower sweet Libeeti made for me and the topper is a flower made out of aluminum tape, gesso and retro punch with a pearl in the center. Inspiration found HERE. Both the crochet flower and aluminum tape is colored with gesso. There are a lot of gesso on this one!

The base is old newspaper covered with gesso and the clothes pins are also painted with gesso and then stamped and heat embossed and then covered with a thin layer of gesso again to get a soft look.

I really like the pins, they make it really easy to change the message of the canvas - the day I don't need to breath... :)

Hope you want to play along with us! All info about the challenge can be found HERE! And I can tell you we have a wonderful sponsor - Vintage Street Market! :):):) And the LESSology blog is filled with amazing inspiraton! What a team! Just saying! :)

Prickley Pear Monday

Hi! A happy, happy Monday to you!!! Hope the weekend was a good one! I should have worked but I was a really, REALLY bad girl and spent most of the weekend not working. Guess I needed that. And the boy and the house needed that… ;P

I have a Prickley Pear card to share today. I’ve used one of the beautiful clear stamp sets that coordinates with the Scalloped Circle Die. It’s called Clearly Beautiful Flowers Stamps Set.

Live Dance Laugh 1

The papers used are from Riddersholm Design, Turquoise Hills collection. One of my all time favorite lines. Just adore the soft blue on blue pattern!

Live Dance Laugh 2

I used this week’s sketch over at CPS.

The Prickley Pear Blog is jammed with beautiful Design Team projects and you can find them HERE! And there is a Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge going on too, it’s open for everybody, no Prickley Pear products needed. You find it HERE!

Thanks for stopping by!

First layout of the year

Every time I sit down to make a layout I think to my self I should do this more often. I hope I will the coming year! It’s so much fun! The photos are of my boy and his cousins playing with a car at a mall. I took the photos with my iPhone and they are not that very good, but I think they capture the movement, the action of the situation (let me tell you, I was totally worn out when we finally came out of there!!!).

Fult ös

I used stuff from my Cocoa Daisy kits, the papers, most of the decos and mists and fun stamp. The design is based on this weeks totally gorgeous Let’s Capture These Sketches sketch #115.

I have a card to share too, a CAS card using the cute Pug from The Rubber Café.

Pug Birthday

Isn’t he totally ADORABLE? He is from the A Pug For The Holidays set. But without reindeer antlers and with non Christmasy papers or embellies he works perfectly fine for any type of card! The sentiment is from the Birthday and Balloons set.

If you like this little fellow and the other stamps from The Rubber Café, there is an ongoing Design Team Call out ending January 20th. All info HERE!!!

Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday! We are having a wintery morning here in Värmland, Sweden. I’m really happy, even though it’s not more than a thin, thin layer of powdery white covering the ground. Better than nothing! :)

A lot of stuff is going on over at Prickley Pear. A new release of fabbie new red rubber is celebrated by a three day blog hop. If you want a chance to win – check it out HERE! And if you look for my blog hop post – it’s HERE!

And today a new sketch challenge is launched. This is a new favorite sketch, so much fun to work with!

And here is my take:

Love skiss 1

I went with a Valentines theme using the beautiful Heart Key Crown Clear Stamps Set and the Heart Key Crown Die.

Love skiss 2

I worked with layers of the die and stamps and stitched them down on the card. The hearts are stamped and clear embossed. The white hearts are stamped with clear embossing ink and then clear embossed and after that inked with the pink Versa Fine ink. Love embossed resist!

Love skiss 3

The LOVE is stamped with Love stamp and then cut out and mounted on 3D foam.

You HAVE to go check the Design Team creations out – they are AMAZING and shows just how fun and versatile this sketch is. You find them HERE on the Prickley Pear Blog.

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Tesa – you are here!

I totally LOOOOVE the new steam punk stamps. So much FUN!!! And totally new to me so it was a challenge. :)

The mind

The stamps I’ve used are Steampunk Locomotive and The Mind Determines.

The mind 2

The mind 3

I used Card Patterns’ sketch #147 as inspiration. It’s a great one – as always!!! I flipped it, but otherwise I stayed pretty close.

My second card is featuring three of the new Valentines themed stamps from Prickley Pear: Hearts ATC, Valentine Cat and My Funny Valentine.

Funny Valentine

The background is stamped with the Hearts ATC and inked and misted so it glimmers really nice. The Cat is stamped on top and then again on water The hearts got a coat of glossy accents.

Funny Valentine 2

I tried to go a bit vintage with the distressing and framing with vintage lace to meet the sketch and vintage twist over at Tuesday morning sketches this week. I really love this sketch, so many possibilities!

Soooooo – what do you think about the new stamps? Leave a comment for a chance to win! :)

Tomorrow there will be three new Design Team blogs participating so don’t forget to stop by the Prickley Pear Blog by 9 am EST tomorrow for a new blog hop list! :)

If this is your last stop – thank you sooo much for participating in our release party. If you didn’t start from the beginning just continue the hop by going over to the Prickley Pear Blog.

Have a great day!!!
