A Page in Time February Kit wrap up

I’m home with son today. He took the second flu shot Monday and he does NOT feel good. I’m trying to work to the sound of Cartoon Network…

This past week I’ve been working with the February Kit from A Page in Time. I’ve already shared my Pink Paislee double page here, and here is the second, done with 7 Gypsies Venice paper. LOVE these papers.

Vår LondonresaI was inspired by the fab design of THIS page, found on sb.com.  The page are about our vacation in London 10 years ago. Didn’t scrap back then… still have a lot to catch up…

Here are a couple of cards I did with the scraps. The first one is based on Laura’s sketch #45.

Feb 4

And this second one is for 365 card’s white space challenge.

Feb 3 Stamps used on both cards are the new arrivals from PrickleyPear Rubber Stamps. They did it again!

Finally I also did a card and treat box out of the Pink Paislee scraps.

0210TesaPinkPaisleeExtra The cute little treat box is made out of the template and tutorial made by Helen Croft. You can find it HERE. Soooo easy, and the result is really great. I’ve used distress ink on the edges, ribbon and scallopes, so this is for 365 card’s Tuesday Trio.

Back to work, or rather, to feed my son THEN back to work. Have a great day!

A Page in Time...

...October Kit was filled with declicious papers from Fancy Pants, Little Yellow Bicyle and Dream Street Papers. I've played with the Rough and Tough papers and rub ons from Fancy Pants .

This is another page from when we were celebrating my parent's 40'th wedding anniversary. We did have a wonderful time, but the kids were not totally cooperative. You might remember THIS page... Well, this is to be seen as the sequel... A happy ending.
I love happy endings!

Edit: Today's challenge at 365 cards was to use cross-stitching. Anybody who knows me a little knows I LOVE stitching in any shape. Sooo, I had to make a quick one. But taking photos at night nowadays when the darkness comes creeping earlier and earlier is difficult. Hence the awful colors, despite the use of FAB Indian Summer papers.

Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey, DCWV. Stamp; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress Ink. Stickles.

A Page in Time August Kit

My assignment for the newsletter in August at APiT is to present the sketches of the month. We have our own fabulous sketch designer who provides us with three awesome double page sketches every month. Here is my take of one of them, using the Oh so fantastic Dream Street Papers’ Urban Ink.

0809Newsletter

This is another page from our Stockholm trip. We went to the Museum of Technology and had a BLAST!

Off for work! Keep your fingers crossed that I get the mail I’ve been waiting for forever today! If I do, I will for sure stamp something tonight!

A Page in Time and day 156

The second paper line in the August Kit from A Page in Time is Dream Street Papers, Sam. Beautiful double sided thick papers! I used them to make a double about our walk in Old City of Stockholm. Everything used is included in the August kit.

0809TesaBSamHela I made a quick card this morning inspired by the ad challenge at 365 cards. I colored the image a week ago or so, when I got my new copics, so now I only had to put it together. At once I saw the ad, I knew that this bouquet of flowers was perfect.

Friend Have a great day!

A Page in Time August Kit

Is an AWESOME one! It contains two fresh Dream Street Papers lines; Sam and Urban Ink and AdornIt Fern collection. You can see the full kit HERE.  I'll work with all three this month, but I started with the AdornIt papers since they were too nice to keep on hold. LOL!

0809TesaBAdornItHela I did a quick card with some of the scrap papers and cute sticker sheet. It also fits the day 153 Tag, You’re it challenge at 365 Cards. It’s Readers appreciation week there with fun challenges by some of the blog readers and fab inspiration from them and the DT.

0709TesaBAdornItExtra And the strangest things happen, the button which is brown in real life, have this pinkish orange strange color on the photo. Doesn’t look that great…

We came back from Stockholm yesterday and we were dead tired. It was an amazing mini vacation with a lot of sightseeing and fun. We went to Gröna Lund  for a rollercoaster ride – spent 7 hours there. We won 2 kg of chocolate… But I think the best part of our trip was Tekniska museet (the museum of Technology) J built a bridge, we saw an amazing 4 D movie about flying (the effect of moving chairs, splashing water, 3D effects of the movie and the smells was fantastic!).

The same troubles as always with taking photos on my son occurred… Here are a couple of shots from a walk in the old city:

2009 jul 29_2917red He can run but he can not hide…

2009 jul 29_2919 Bribed with an ice cream…

Wish you the best of weekends!

I'm happy...

...to have good friends. One of my oldest and closest friend came by today and totally surprised me. They live quite a distanse from here, and we don't meet IRL that often. To busy with our lifes I guess. But we realized that's not the way to have it so we'll have a whole weekend together in three weeks. YAY! So instead of scrapping my fab DT kit from A Page in Time I cooked a delicious dinner and had a wonderful time chatting.

And now, this evening I made my niece a birthday card. She turns 6 on Monday. Time flies. She loves pink and red and I've been saving up some scraps from an older A Page in Time kit which contained lovely Bitter Sweet from BG. I knew at once I saw it she'd love these colors. Now I only hope she'll like my card. I've used Laura's beautiful sketch #24 over at 2Sketches4You.
Have a lovely evening!

My first challenge...

...over at A Page in Time will be launched today. It will be a Tesa favourite: a Cut'n bling challenge! Time to put all the machines away and grab the scissors and/or craft knife and get busy! I think this is the core heart of paper craft - and it is so simple and cheap. All one needs is some paper and a pair of good scissors. The bling part... WELL, theese days in dull November, many of us need to bling up our lifes a bit. There are a GREAT kit this month (as usual) at A Page in Time, so go get some and join the challenge. There will be a GREAT prize!!!

This is my sample page. I did it this weekend for the sketch challenge at Scrapperiet's CC. I've given examples on loads of ways to use the scissors. LOL!

I'm amazed how well the colors in BG's Urban prairie papers match with the MM paper! It's like they are made for each other.
