Heartfelt Wednesday

Hi! Today’s project is an altered box with a plastic bubble on the lid with the decoration inside. It’s like the opposite from a shadow box of the sorts. Super fun but totally impossible to photograph… To much shine everywhere. Anyway, I went with a vintage style and wanted the feeling of a rose garden inside the bubble.

Rose Box 1-1

HC products: HCDP1 227 Vintage Floret Collection, HCPC 3500 Open Vintage Floret PreCut Set, HCPC 3502 Mini Vintage Floret PreCut Set, HCPC 3504 Bold Vintage Floret Background PreCut Set, HCPC 3494 Delicate Asters PreCut Set, HCPC 3840 Brookside Manor PreCut Set, HCD 727 Vintage Floret Die, HCD 726 Delicate Asters Die, Classic Scallop Circle Large, Standard Circle Small. Other products: Ink: Versa Fine – Onyx Black, Distress ink – Weathered wood, Vintage Photo. White pearls, Kraft box with bubble, sand paper, glue and foam tape.

Instructions: Dress the box and lid with patterned paper and distress the edges with ink and sand paper. Stamp the Bold Vintage Floret Background on patterned paper and trim to fit the inside of the bubble. Make three roses in different sizes by stamping and die cutting Vintage Floret flowers in different sizes, shape the petals and layer. An excellent tutorial video can be found HERE. Adhere to stamped panel. Stamp and die cut two leafs from the Delicate Asters set and tuck in beneath the roses. Stamp three butterflies on patterned paper and cut out and adhere to panel with foam tape to get some dimension and the feel of flying butterflies. Ad pearls to the butterflies. Secure the panel and the bubble to the lid. Decorate the lid with a frame made of circle and scalloped circle nestabilities and pearls. Make four flowers by stamping and die cutting 6 Vintage Floret images, crinkle the petals and layer. Ad pearls to the centers and adhere to lid. Tie a ribbon and a bow around the edge of the lid.
