Matchbox

Hi! Today was back to work day and let me tell you, I wouldn’t mind having a couple of more days off! :)

Yesterday was a lovely day spent with the family. We went to the movies and saw Hobbit. It was great! I also got some me time in my scrap room, making a few projects for Mollys Scrapbooking’s cyber crop that started yesterday. First challenge that caught my eyes was to alter a matchbox. Perfect! I’ve had a matchbox sitting on my desk since November. I planned making a Christmas gift out of it, but I never found the time. So instead of a gift, it ended up in my kitchen, and I’m really happy about that! :)

Tändsticksask

Papers used are Basic Grey Aspen Frost and that amazing stamp is from Momas lil’ shop of stamps. It’s colored with Distress markers and fussy cut.

Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Layout

Hi! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a wonderful Christmas celebration! We had one for sure! But we are also just about to end ours – going home from my brother’s in a bit to face work tomorrow. Time flies… :)
My Heartfelt Creations project this week is also a proof of the fact that time flies… It’s been 12,5 years since me and my man walked down the isle. Feels like yesterday but a 12 year old boy, a few (ehmmm) pounds more and, well, I’m not going to mention the wrinkles… tells me elsewise.
Love 1
Ok, I went for a romantic look. I don’t know, but it was really fun. I did some serious fussy cutting, the Paper collection is screaming – cut out some roses…. So I did. And I worked hard to make some roses of my own. They got some Frosty stickles on them, as did the chipboards.
Love 2
It is soooo fun making layouts. I must give me time to make some more this coming year. I think that will be my Scrappy New Years resolution. :)
Other: Versa Fine ink – Onyx Black, Prima lace, rose ribbon from Really reasonable ribbons, White satin ribbon, button, pearl, stickles, bird chipboard, thickers, white gesso, glue and foam tape.

Cut out the rose pillar from patterned paper and adhere to right side of page with foam tape. Die cut two decorative labels eight from patterned paper and one Timeless Amour heart. Adhere to page and ad photo.Ad rose ribbon and button. Stamp sentiment on patterned paper and cut out as a tag. Ad satin ribbon and a pearl.  Ad to page. Happy Holidays!

Hi you all! Hope you are enjoying a wonderful Holiday season! :) I wish you all the happiest of Christmases!

We had a fun, loving, loud and sweet celebration with extended family yesterday (Sweden celebrates on the 24:th). I'm still full... I love this time of year! :)

I have a few cards to share (since I never found the time to post earlier this week with all the preparations of Christmas and my boy's birthday.

First up, a very Merry Christmas card. I did this for Riddersholm Design using the A Christmas Story line. The stamp is from Momas lil' shop of stamps.

Next two cards are both for my boy. I did one from me and my hubby and one from his grandparents. Both as non Christmas-y as possible... I used some fabbie Dear Lizzy papers, pastels, blue skies, balloons.

A really simple card, but I like how it came out. The papers are great and I so love these Grunge stamps from Skipping Stones Design.
I used a great sketch from December card challenge on Scrapbook.com

This one is using stamps from The Rubber Cafe. The photo frame stamps is from the new release Pictures Framed - LOVE this! I also used sentiments from this set for the inside.

That's all for me for today. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Heartfelt Wednesday

Hi! Only a few days left to Christmas and I am so ready! Most of the have to:s are done. Yay! Me and the boy made fudge yesterday and it ended up out of this world yummy. We are giving it away, so we decided for another batch this evening – for our mouths only… :)

Today’s Heartfelt Creations’ project is Christmas themed. I pulled out the Book Frame 1 set and had some fun. I love this set.

Oh Holy night 1

All the stamping is copper embossed. I love the warm shiny look of it.

Holy night 2

I stamped the Frame multiple times and layered to get the dimensional feeling of an actual book. Here are the full instructions:

HC Products: HCPC 3415 Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set, HCPC 3433 Book Frame 1 PreCut Set, HCPC 3430 Shepherd Scene PreCut Set, HCD 728 Timeless Amour Die, Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One. Other: Pugnacious Signature Paper Crème, Black card stock, Green and white patterned paper scraps. Embossing ink, Vintage photo Distress ink, Copper embossing powder, red satin ribbon, copper pearls and red rhinestones. Glue and foam tape.

Instructions: Make card from cardstock and ink the edges. Die cut two Timeless Amour dies. Stamp Book Frame once on patterned paper and heat emboss with copper embossing powder. Cut out. Stamp the same stamp three times on crème cardstock and emboss. Stamp note stamp in the center of one of the frames. Cut out the book pages (inside the actual frame) and ink edges. Layer book pages and adhere to book frame. Adhere the die cut Timeless Amour dies behind the book with foam tape. Stamp and heat emboss sentiment on cardstock. Die cut with Fancy Framed Tags One and ink edges. Adhere pearls and rhinestones. Ad to book with foam tape. Stamp and emboss three Petite Poinsettia flowers, cut out and ink edges. Ad rhinestones to centers and ad to book. Tie a bow of red satin ribbon and adhere to book. Adhere book to card base.

Christmas Cards

Hi! T.G.I.F! :)

Friday at last. I have another busy day at work ahead of me, BUT – I’ll meet up with an old friend for a “long time no see” After Work chit chat. Cava, seafood and catching up is on the program and I can’t wait. :)

I’m still working on my Christmas cards… Yeah, I know… Need to get these babies OUT! Last year I decided to make them ahead, following one or many of the year long Christmas challenges. I didn’t do one… Next year!

Anyway, this week I whipped up a batch of cards. I did in all six of these, using a few old stamps from I don’t know where. I only know that the Santa and the inside fellow are from Swedish manufacturers and sadly underused.

Merry Christmas 1

I had a plan of keeping it simple and with few layers. I kept it simple but few layers is a failure. I ended up with 4 layers on the outside and 2 layers on the inside, except the cardbase… I simply need to mat my paper.

Merry Christmas 2

I used Basic Grey Aspen Frost papers. I LOVE these papers. The colors are wonderful, and the snowflake patterned paper is one of my all time favorite seasonal papers. ♥♥♥

Here is the sketch from Try Stampin’ on Tuesday that I used:

Merry Christmas 3

Here is another card using the same papers:

Klockor

Some serious fussy cutting on this one. The stamp is from Heartfelt Creations. I used this sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp.

Have a FAB Friday! Thank you for stopping by!!!

Heartfelt Wednesday

Hi! Happy mid week! :)

If you are looking for my Rubber Cafe New Release Blog Hop Post you can find it HERE!

Today I’m back to share a new Heartfelt Creations project. I’ve inked up a Collage stamp that has become a new favorite. It’s a true beauty! Love stamps that makes a whole card right away. This time though, I pimped it with extra flowers, pearls, glitter, and the lots. :)

Wondering 1

Here are a couple of close ups:

Wondering 4

I used the coordinated Tattered Blossoms set to make extra flowers which are layered to give some dimension. And I glittered them and the leafs up with some glitter. I’m so into sparkle these days. Must be the season or something! :)

I added some pearls and dew dots randomly on the collage. Love the magnifying effect the dew dots have on the background.

Wondering 3

HC Products: HCDP1 226 Delicate Asters Paper Collection, HCPC 3471 Tattered Collage PreCut Set, HCPC 3468 Tattered Blossoms PreCut Set, HCPC 3509 Timeless Sentiments PreCut Set, Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One.

Other: Black Cardstock. Ink: Versa Fine – Onyx Black, Distress inks – Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap. Embossing Powder – Clear Ranger Industries. Embellishments: Ribbon, lace button, pearls and dew drops. Viva Décor Silver Glitter Liner. Adhesives: Glue and Foam Tape.

Instructions: Make card from cardstock. Stamp the Tattered Collage on patterned paper and heat emboss. Trim and ink edges. Distress the edges and mount it on a slightly larger piece of patterned paper with distressed edges. Tie a bow around the panel and make a bow. Ad a button to the bow center. Adhere a lace beneath the ribbon. Stamp and heat emboss Tattered Collage three times on green patterned paper, heat emboss and cut out the leafes. Ink edges with Peeled paint and glue a first layer of leafs to panel and then a second layer with some glue and foam tape to get some dimension. Stamp Tettered Collage again on patterned paper once, cut out the flowers and adhere to panel. Stamp and heat emboss Tattered Blossom multiple times on patterned paper. Cut out and shape petals. Layer flowers on card and ad pearls to centers. Stamp sentiment on patterned paper and die cut with Fancy Framed Tag. Ink edges and ad pearls. I used a purple copic pen to color two of the pearls ´. Adhere to card with foam tape. Adhere panel to card base with foam tape and finish the card by adding glitter to flowers and leafs and adding pearls and dew drops randomly to the panel.

As on every Wednesday, the Heartfelt Creations blog is jammed packed with new inspiration from the fabulous Design Team. You don’t want to miss it! :)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a fab rest of the week and see you around!!!!

Riddersholm’s Christmas Challenge

Hi!

The coming weeks until Christmas, Riddersholm Design is hosting a weekly Seasonal challenge going live every Sunday. It’s open for everyone world wide and you do not need to use Riddersholm’s papers. We start this up really easy – any Christmas project goes! :)

And I’m such a dork, or simply crazy busy, or both, I never got it that the sign above wasn’t a sketch… It’s my tenth blond moment this weekend alone. I’m slowly going down…

Anyway, it worked pretty well as a sketch, and I do like my card though I once again went berserk with the snow pen. Note to self – stay CLEAR of the snow pen!

Silent Night 1

I so love this year’s Christmas papers from Riddershom – A Christmas Story. They have this warm and vintage look that is so perfect for any seasonal project. On this card I teamed them up with some Heartfelt Creations stamps: The Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set and Poinsettia Bells and Bows PreCut Set.

Silent Night 2

Some glitter on the sentiment and on the flowers. Then BAM snow pen! :)

Love the canvas tags!

Silent Night 3

We hope to see you play along with us this week. Anything Christmas-y goes! Link up your blog post HERE!

Thanks for stopping by!

I’ll be back in a few hours with The Rubber Café’s New Release Blog Hop. Hope to see you back then!

Smile Layout

Hi! Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend has been a good one. Mine has been great. I’ve got tons of Christmas preparations done. Been shopping Christmas presents today, and I’m almost done and it feels great. Usually I sweat among all the other desperate procrastinators the day before Christmas. But not this year. Not ever again! :)

Smile 3

I have a Skipping Stones Design project to share today. It’s one of my last as a Design Team member of this wonderful company. Heather – the owner – will take a break. Here are her own words:

I am thinking of this break as a 7th inning stretch of sorts and here’s what this means to you:

Effective this month, we will be discontinuing our weekly sketch challenges. We will honor all previous sketch winners through the end of December. As part of this hiatus, I am also suspending release of new designs.

Starting today through the end of January, the entire store is on sale, AND the more you buy, the more you save. That’s right, we are having our famous (or infamous) Purchase More Stamps (PMS) sale to help me reduce inventory.

Buy ONE set: Enter PMS1 for 5% off!
Buy TWO sets: Enter PMS2 for 10 % off!
Buy THREE sets: Enter PMS3 for 15% off!
Buy FOUR sets: Enter PMS4 for 20% off!
Buy FIVE sets: Enter PMS5 for 25% off!
Buy SIX or MORE sets: Enter PMS6 for 30% off!

If you have any challenges with the discount codes, please email me directly at madebyme33 (at) hotmail (dot) com. I will turn around an invoice that reflects your savings.”

I love this company. The stamp sets are out of this world fun to work with. Hilarious! And beautiful! And like the set I’m featuring today, Grunge 2, so great to do all types of projects with. I’ll miss it. But I’ll have my stamps! :)

Smile layout

The photo is from our Vacation this summer. The boy is playing in the medieval ruins of a church and he had so much fun. He was a gigantic smile. :) I used the Grunge 2 set for the stamped part. Love the text stamps in this set, so fun and great font!

Heartfelt Wednesday

Happy mid week! Winter arrived the other day, and things are starting to look really Christmasy around here. It’s a bit too cold for my taste, but I do enjoy the snow. It makes everything a bit less dark. :)

I have two Heartfelt Creations projects to share today. First up is a card with some pearls and glitter flair. Love the soft pastels of the papers from the Timeless Amour line and romantic stamps and dies.

To the world

I was totally inspired by this week’s Tuesday Trigger over at the Moxie Fab World.

I dressed the inside of the heart die with pearls and added glitter to all the little leaves and the fussy cut roses to get some blingy feeling. Here is a close up. The glitter is hard to catch on photo.

Birthday card

Hi! Happy Sunday!

Popping in real quick between baking ginger bread with the boy (a wonderful tradition) and going out for some shopping and celebrating the traditional start of Christmas Shopping. There will be glögg, sales, Santas, Christmas music and much more. It will be fun.

Here is a card I’ve done for a co worker. He turned 80 last week, and is still working, though the past year not as much as he used to. He is our Professor Emeritus and was in charge of our department when I first started working at the University and I’m really happy he is still around.

Sune 80

I used this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday!!!
