My favorite stamp

I was blogging about the stamp that made me find Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps a while ago. I thought I’d share my first card using the stamp in question. Isn’t Felicity simply gorgeous???

I kept it blank and I’ll ad a sentiment when I'll use it. I’m off for work. Have a great day!

Super Sketchy Sunday (on a Monday!)

We had a lovely weekend visiting friends, playing games (did you know I totally ROCK when comes to Bowling? Me neither!) and eating and drinking goood stuff. I did make a card late last night - we can’t have a whole weekend without crafting, now can we??? But with no daylight in sight I wasn’t able to taka a decen photo until now. The sketch at 365 cards was fab as always!

Tesa Sept04 Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Prima. Stamps; Firecracker Designs. Retro punch and Kaiser Kraft black pearl and some stuff from my stash.

I’ve used my Yoga stamps from Firecracker Designs again. Can’t get enough of them. LOL! And since I totally killed all competition in the Bowling the other day, I might have my Chakras aligned after all!! And I think my Chakras might be pink, so I used the most pink paper I could find.

And I've also done today's challenge - to use fringe. Hope this is a fringe. LOL.

Recipe: Paper; Bazzill, Dream Street Papers, Graphic 45. Stamps; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress Ink. ATC trancparency; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Stickles.

On this card. I've used a couple of stamps and a trancperancy from Prickley Pear Rubber stamps. Love the trancperancy, it was so much fun - and EASY!!! I used some stickles to glue it down which makes the bird and the flowers sparkle a bit. Looks great. LOL!

Today is the starting day for the World Card Making Day Countdown Blog Hop (phew…)! It will contain cards from card makers all over the world and totally crazy prizes from the major manufacturers. Sounds interesting? Check the blog post out HERE!!!

Have a wonderful day!

Saturday morning…

…is my favorite part of the week. We are on our way to visit dear friends over the weekend, but I managed making a card. It’s for two challenges, the 365 cards challenge (sanding the edges) and Dutch Dare challenge (using a charm).

PPRS #2I played with my new Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Well, I’m off. Hubby is annoyed. He thinks I should be packning… He might be right…

9/24/2009

I’m in RUBBER HEAVEN!

I got the most awesome stamps yesterday from Prickley Pear. Lots of rubber. I’ve been longing to go home all day today. Specially since the 365 cards challenge today is a SUPER one.  We get to choose one challenge from June, July and August and combine it for today’s card. LOVE that!

I choose:
June: Day 199 - Silhouettes
July: Day 149 - Sponging
August: Day 180 – Going Vintage

Paris PPRS #1 Recipe: Paper; Daisy Bucket, Fancy Pants. Stamps; Prickley Pear. Flowers; Prima. Tag; 7 gypsies.

Great combination of challenges for me! And I actually like the result. Some. Tonight I’ll be making invitations. After I get home from school and the parental meeting. Not my fav thing to do…

Scrapfest day 2

Caardvarks Scrapfest continues with yet a lovely sketch. I used my current fav stamp set – THE YOGA ONE from FCD. It’s too cool. Heheee. This time I simply flipped the yoga guy some to make him a dancer.Tesa Sept-3

I’ve tried some Yoga out. On my Wii Fit. Well, it was ok. But best part was my Mii age is –5 while my slim hubby ended up at + 9 at first. “but I had the board in a strange position” he stated. And did it again, with a perfectly placed board. +18. He actually said ****. Heheheee.

I’ve also played with Laura’s lovely sketch #35 at 2 Sketches 4 You combined with 365 cards’ Triplet challenge.

Happy Haunting #2 I’ve used three skeletons from The Rubber Café, three pieces of black cardstock, three pieces of patterned paper, three doodled borders. The sentiment didn’t have to have three words. I’m grateful!

I’m off for a looong work day. Thanks for visiting and thank you for all the lovely comments! They make my day even better!

9/21/2009

There is a sketchfest going on!

Caardvarks is having a week long Sketchfest with gorgeous sketches every day. Here is my take on the Sunday Sketch. I tried to go a little vintage.

Beautiful youRecipe: Paper; Bazzill, Websters pages. Flowers; Prima. Stamp; Sarah Kay, Prima. Bling; Prima, Kaiser. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress ink. Sentiment; Making Memories.

I also did this card for A Spoon full of Sugar Fall Challenge. I used earth colors and apples are my favorite fall fruit!

Since I’m off for work two minutes ago, I’ll simply make this SHORT! LOL! Have a fab week!

Thumbs up

I love this photo of my son from this past summer. We had a lovely morning by the sea, fishing. The products used are from Annas Scrapbooking August Kit. It's also based upon the sketch #37 at 52 Sketches 52 weeks.

Tummen Upp

I spend this early morning with making a Thank You card for my MIL. We spend all day yesterday with her, and she took really good care of us, feeding us with delicate food and pastries. She also totally spoiled dear son. He will be making a card later today.

TackRecipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey. Stamps; Inkadinkado, Hero Arts, Making Memories. Ink; Adirondack. Flowers; Prima, Hobby Glede. Bling; Kaiser Kraft.

It’s based upon the fab super sketch of today at 365 cards. The 365 cards DT outdid themselves with this sketch, go check it out!!!

If you want to participate in Firecracker Designs Greetings and Salutation Blog Hop you can find it HERE.

Today I’ll start my new yoga life with Wii Fit. I have this really pushy trainer. Might be good. I don’t know. We’ll see. If I survive.

Firecracker Designs new Team says HI!

And we do it with a Blog Hop! Welcome to the Firecracker Designs first Blog Hop with the 2009/2010 team! The theme for this hop is Greetings and Salutations which seems to be a really great way to get to know each other some! So I hope you will Hop Along, meet the DT, see the projects and have the chance of winning a PRIZE! But more details will follow. I want to share my card using the Yoga 1 set first!

Tesa Sep02One might wonder what kind of salutation this is, but hey, you don’t know me… LOL! This makes perfect sense. Promise. Cause when somebody asks me to do strange stuff like Yoga, this would be my first words. For sure. No hello. No nothing. Only “You want me to do what?” That’s me. Then HI!

I’m utterly in love with this set, it totally speaks to me, with the theme of not really understanding the whole thing that the rest of the world seem to embrace. LOL! I pimped my Melissa Frances patterned paper with one of the yoga stamps in a soft brown color and added the focal stamp in black. Think it turned out pretty cool.

Over to some important information about the Hop:

The official start time of this Hop is Friday, at 8:00 AM (EST). If you arrived early, please be patient as all the links may not be live yet.

This is a “circular blog hop” where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)

The winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess that we don’t even know who it will be until the hop is over…so that’s why you’ll want to leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out!

**To find out if you’ve won… you will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) and you can also find out on Pamela’s blog after the blog hop ends on Mon, at 8:00 PM (EST).**

Now, to continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to

KARYN

and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

A big Wohoo, a wedding card and blog hop notification!

A while ago I stumbled upon a card using this stamp and fell in love instantly. I went for a hunt, found Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and loads of amazing products like this set. (Amazing, isn't it!) And they had a call out. And I applied. And guess what! I’m accepted! Wohoo! The first stamps are on their way and I CAN NOT WAIT!

Last weekend, the parents of my son’s best friend got married. The friend and his brother spend the night and day after with us and boy were they thrilled over what they had experienced on the wedding day. Dear son said, a little jealously “I was on my parent's wedding too, you know.” Well, I WAS 13 weeks pregnant on that day so he had a point, let it be a very small one. I made a tag card for the happy couple that I thought I’d share.

Susanne och DanielI’m saving my best card (in my humble opinion, lol) of the week for tomorrow when we’ll launch the new Fire Cracker Design Team with a blog hop! It will be a circular one, so if you find your way here, it will forward you through a cool hop with great projects and a chance to win a nice rubbery prize.

I'm celebrating my birthday today. With working late... Won't be home until 9.30 Pm. NO CAKE!!! But I got my present already. A Wii Fit. That fits. And what I said when I got it will be revealed tomorrow at the Blog Hop.

Wish you a beautiful day! Tesa

Smell the roses

Is a nice thing to do. Our white English Rose is in full bloom and it is magnificent and brighten up my days. Every morning I’m afraid that the deer has been visiting during night, but it seems like it will be left alone for once. Yay!

The rose was my inspiration for the card I made this afternoon. I’ve been wiped out in a bad migraine since yesterday, and it let go a couple of hours ago. Still too dizzy to work, but well enough to cut some paper. The problems with straight lines are due to heavy medication. LOL!  Today’s challenge at 365 cards  was using a hexagon.

Thinking of you-1Thinking of you detaljRecipe: Papers; Bazzill, Daisy Bucket.  Stamps; Firecracker Designs by Pamela (butterfly), Forma (rose), Artistic Outpost (sentiment). Ink; Versa Fine, Distress ink.

I’m in love with my new butterfly from FCD! I find myself using it (or the dragonfly) on everything nowadays. Might need to let it rest for a day or two. LOL: The design is based on the sketch of the week over at Friday Sketchers.

I’m off feeding my son and hit the bed again. Have a lovely evening!

Trick or Treat

I got the cutest clear stamp set named Trick or Treat from The Rubber Café, containing these three cutie pies with different accessories like the masks and hat and spider web. I adore the spider web!

Trick or treat kopiera I had so much fun working with this one, using paper piecing, copics and water colors putting it together.

This is a quick one, dear son is sitting waiting for me to come playing yatzy. I’d better go!!!

Lemonade…

…line has been a great friend this summer. I don’t have much left of it,and I thought I’d try to use up some scraps. I’ve had a long nice morning by my scrap desk. I started with a layout. My Stonehenge sister Irene is the guest designer at Pencil Lines this week, she’s made the sketch and all and I thought I’d play along.

I finally got to scrap the Back to School photos I took (with the help of some serious bribes). It’s the situation of taking photos that makes him look like this – NOT returning to school.

Börja skolan

And with the smaller scraps, I made a card using the super sketch at 365 cards. LOVE these sketches Pam is making for us every Sunday!

FjärilskortFjärilskort öppnat Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey. Stamps; Firecracker Designs by Pamela, Inque Boutique. Button; MME. Mis: brad, QK, bling, ribbon.

This afternoon we’re going to the movies. We’ll see G-Force. Yay! Guinea pigs running wild. Could one ask for mor???

Just a Touch

I started this beautiful sunny morning with the day 196 challenge over at 365 cards. The task is to make a card with a stamped image on white cs and only a touch of color on it. Since we have had more sun the last couple of days than we had all summer, I got a vibe of spring/summer feeling (that was until I went outside to get our newspaper. The chilly autumn air is not to be mistaken of!). I dig out an old Inque Boutique set and also used my new dragonfly from Firecracker Designs.

Just a touchRecipe: Papers; Bazzill, MME. Stamps; Inque Boutique, Firecracker Designs by Pamela. Button; MME. Mis; Ribbon, stones, stickles.

The design is based upon Caardvarks gorgeous Sketch One. Still one more sketch to go until the 14th.

Hope your Saturday will be as sunny as mine!

Feature Friday and a Goodbye

Thank God it’s FRIDAY! And that means Feature Friday with The Character Cafe. But This FF is very special for me and a little sad since it’s my last one. It’s time to say goodbye to the best Team and Owners ever. It’s been a fun, inspiring and creative three month term! Thank you!

If you want to be a part of this team in the future, you could. You can find the DT call with all information HERE. The call is open until September 20 th. And if you want to help us improve and also have a chance to win some really nice TCC blog candy you should go HERE.

Over to the card and the image. I thought it'd be proper to save one of my all time favorite TCC images to my last DT project. Meet Seamore Turtle. Isn't he magnificent???

Recipe: Paper; Bazzill, MME, Water color paper. Image; Seamore Turtle, The Character Cafe. Ribbons, glass stones, Crackle accent.

I colored him with Distress ink and added a layer of Crackle accent which gives an aged and a little watery look. I love how the image came out. The Crackle accent made the Distress ink blend together so very nice.

Yoga anybody???

I still haven’t tried it but most of my friends have. And our conversations have for a year or so been sprinkled with words like chakra, curry lines and God knows what. I’m totally immune against everything chakraesk but when I received the Yoga set from Firecracker Designs it was love at first sight and I know exactly who are going to find cards in their mailboxes in the near future.  *hint, hint*.

Yoga 1Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Coordination, Water color paper. Ink; Distress ink, Versa fine. Mis; Lace, buttons, clear embossing powder, Signo pen.

I’ve kept it simple in my favorite colors, using my favorite techniques and the sketch of the week over at my  favorite sketch blog 2Sketches4You. Sending it to my favorite ski bum (and yoga freak). Good thing is she doesn’t read my blog.

Have a beautiful Thursday evening!

A quick one

I’m waiting for my son's Dr. to phone and thought I’d pop in and blog the card I did earlier this morning. My fellow Firecracker Shelly did the cutest card yesterday, using the sketch of the week over at MoJo Monday. I had to try that one, the sketch is great! Combined with today’s 365 cards challenge which is a card recipe it was a quick fix. Don’t you just love recipes???

Artistic outpost Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Graphic 45, Daisy Bucket, Melissa Frances. Stamp; Artistic outpost. Flowers; Prima, Reprint. Rhinestones; Kaiser kraft. MS Edge Punch.

The recipe for the 365 cards challenge was: 5x5 card, 4 different patterned papers (the fourth is the one the image is stamped on, a beautiful Melissa Frances paper), 1 stamped image, 3 flowers and 5 rhinestones. This is not a great card, but I think it turned out ok, specially since it only took me 30 minutes to complete. Love that I finally used my new Artistic Outpost stamp (Happiness set). It’s beautiful, and so detailed!

Still no phone call, but I hope she wont be too late. Need to get going!!! Have a great day and thank you for all the sweet comments. They make my day!

Sweet Autumn/God Höst: Bloggparty #3

God höst

Har ni sett Basic Greys nya Indian Summer??? VILL HA!!!

Puman’s Blog party challenge is to make an item inspired by the Basic Grey Indian Summer ad. LOVE THIS CHALLENGE! Love BG, love this line, love ad challenges… I could continue… I did the challenge this early morning while not sleeping due to terrible tooth ache. (Have an appointment at 1 pm!). Paper crafting is a great pain killer (or pain distracter). I also incorporated today’s 365 cards challenge by naming the piece God Höst (which can be translated to SWEET autumn).

God höst 2 God höst 3 Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey. Alphabet; DCWV. Leaf; Youdo. Stamp; Kortmakaren. Mis; ribbon, signo pen. Template: PTI

Du hittar min utmaning, samt en länk till alla utmaningar som ingår i Bloggparty HÄR.

If you want to participate in my Blog party Challenge, you can find it HERE. A short English information can be found at the end of the post, and yes, international participants are welcome.

Thanks for taking the time!!!

Haunted House?

My Halloween themed cards continues… Muahhahaaa. LOL! This is one of my favorite stamps from Rubber Café so far. The Bat motel is big, it’s detailed and it’s spooky. And so much fun to color!

Bat motel I added a duo of little ghosts from the Trick or Treat set. I stamped them on shrink plastics, and the effect is really cool with some transparency. I got the idea from my DT colleague Ann who mentioned this and when I couldn’t find any vellum in my chaos, ehrmn, I mean scrap room, I went with the plastics. And this turned out way better.

I’ve spend the night with tooth ache. Sooo, from Bat Motel to Dentist it is. Would rather spend a night or two at the motel.

Two cards - same sketch

I have a couple of birthdays in the beginning of September, my brother this last Friday and a newly found friend on Tuesday. So I made two cards out of the same sketch. This one which I found at the Firecracker Designs homepage. I also used similar techniques and design elements. It saved me time and it is really cool to see how the cards ended up similar but not the same.

Happy Day kopiera

Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Coredination, Daisy Bucket. Stamps; Inkido, Inkadinkado, MM. Mis; Kaiser Kraft rheinstones, stickles, Nestabilities, lace.

Grattis bror Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Coredination, MME. Stamp; Inkido. Mis; Ribbon, stickles, Nestabilities, MME button.

The last one says Happy Birthday and is for my brother. I forgot to phone him on his big day (I only now realized!!! :O). I hope the card arrived safely and in time…

I’m off phoning my little brother.

Bloggparty and a card

I’ve done my second challenge for the big Bloggparty going on until October 4th. This challenge is held by Alexandra, and you are supposed to lift one of her layouts. Loads of beautiful pages are to be found on her blog. But since I LOVE black backgrounds, Basic Grey papers, scalloped boarders and those little mini alphabet stickers from MM this one was an obvious choice.

Alexandra’s page:Alexandras layout

My lift:Hur står det till...Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey. Letters; Basic Grey and Making Memories. Flowers and swirl; Prima. Buttons; MME. Pearls: Kaiser Kraft. Brads; American Crafts. MS Edge Punch, Provo craft die cut.

I have no idea how to translate the title “Hur står det till med bordsskicket???”, but the content is a question about how they behave when having dinner. The photos are from a family dinner at a restaurant and the three sweeties under the table are my son and his tow cousins. Got to be proud of your children, right?!Hur står det till... detalj

I woke up kind of early this morning. When I first opened my eyes it was 4.45 am, 15 minutes later I gave up. It’s a good thing… I’ve had several hours this morning by my scrap table. One CAN NOT start cleaning the house while people are still asleep, right! so after this layout was done, I made a card. I started out with an idea I’ve had since I got my new stamps “Happiness” from Artistic Outpost. I masked and colored and cut them out. But then what? Went up and found the new sketch challenge released at Caardvarks. The rest was piece of cake!

The sketch (#2):Sketch_THREE_DRSI flipped it but followed it pretty close otherwise.

ThankfulRecipe: Papers; Bazzill, MME, Basic Grey. Stamps: Artistic Outpost, sentiment from PTI. Flowers: Prima. Charm. Tools: QK, MS Edge Punch.

I also incorporated a little charm, a dragonfly, to fit the 365 cards challenge today.

I guess I can’t hold back the cleaning business any more. Have a lovely Saturday!

Challenge junkie…

…that’s me. A good challenge gets me inspired. It’s as simple as that. Thank you all challenge blogs out there!!! Some of the lovely ladies that I visit on a regular basis are masters of combining challenges. I’m usually not, but today I actually ended up doing three in one card.

Hello Friend #4 I started with the super inspiring sketch of the week at Friday Sketchers. I followed the sketch pretty close, but I centered the sentiment. Next up is 365 cards where the challenge today is to use felt (or flocking). This was the tough one. I’m not a felt kind of gal, but I found some butterflies from an old kit that AMAZINGLY well fitted the color of my image. Finally the Stamp Something challenge this week is to use your favorite stamp. I have a LOT of stamps I love deeply. But I knew at once which it must be… It’s small, it’s a random sentiment, but it’s from my beloved PTI set and the stamp I use the most often. PERFECT shape, perfect size and perfect stamped result every time. So, this stamp it must be. Tiny or not.

Wish you all a really nice FRIDAY!

TCC Feature Friday

Wohoo!!! It’s Friday! And a lovely Friday it is! The rain is pouring in kind of a horizontal way, it’s cold, windy and grey. It’s like autumn. I love autumn (not necessarily autumn with this kind of weather though). And the first two weeks of University is coming to an end which means time to BREATH! And -  It’s Character Cafe’s Feature Friday! I made today’s card last weekend, and I’ve been waiting since then to be able to show you – I have used the cutest word art ever.

Snips and snailsThe image is part of the Baby Talk Word Art from the August releases.  I love this card. It came together in no time and I really like the clean and simple look, letting the image stand for itself. I’ve printed it directly on my card base, using the Bazzill Straw cardstock. Straw is the new love of my life!!! (sorry sweet Kraft). I colored it with my copics put on a border and a ribbon and voila. Done. I’m a little sad I couldn’t get the colors right on the photo. Oh well.

This week’s Work it Wednesday challenge is ALL about STICKLES. It’s hosted by Billie who has done a great tutorial and one AMAZING LIST! Check it out HERE.

The Fab Design Team has been working on the August releases and you can check the gals projects out on their blogs:

A Holiday Card and the Prize!

On Moxiefabworld there is a Stretch Your Holiday Challenge going on (until Monday 7th) with five separate holiday style challenges. Well, I’m soooo into my Christmas Cards making so it is perfect for me. It’s not that I long for winter, but I have missed my Wassail papers and Holiday stamps immensely.

The first challenge I’m entering is the fifth (yeah I know, it’s really confusing… lol) and the challenge – to STAMP - and all the entries can be found HERE.

TesaBroman-2

Finally I’ve taken a decent photo of the prize for my Bloggparty Challenge! I’ve gathered some of my favorite products.

Pris till Bloggparty

A full plate (A4) of Baby related red rubber stamps from Doodle Factory. They are unmounted.

  1. Martha Stewart Edge Punch
  2. Blackboard minialbum from Cosmo Cricket
  3. Some flowers

I hope you want to participate!!! HERE is the challenge (which in short is about getting inspired by the ad and create something (layout, card, alter) and include some sort of stitching (hand, faux, machine) and finally link your project to the challenge post.

Have a lovely evening. I’m off to work in an hour. I’m having a night lecture. Instead of scrapbooking… Well, one can not scrap all the time, people says…

The last couple of weeks…

…I’ve played with the most AMAZING butterfly themed mixed media (canvas and lutradur!!!) kit from 1WorldScrap. I made 6 projects (3 layouts, 2 cards and 1 altered item) with it and STILL have plenty left. The kit will be available soon at the web shop with full instructions and photos of all the projects. Here is a sneak peek.

Father and son detaljI got the last part of my Bloggparty prize today. It’s beautiful and I wouldn’t mind keeping it… heehehee… But did I get the photos needed???? Noooo…. But I sure will tomorrow! You are welcome to play along!

I have made my first entrance for Bloggparty. It’s a must use challenge held by FruNina. You should use

  • Three different patterned papers
  • A minimum of six flowers
  • Paint
  • Something made out of wood
  • Bling
  • Something punched out…

Bröllopsdag This is a page made out of the August kit from Annas Scrapbooking. It’s a lovely autumn themed kit that worked perfectly with the sweet photo of my parents. I used velvet whisper (from Youdo) with bling for the first time (included in the kit) and wow, what an awesome effect! I put it on the flowers and got a beautiful shimmery soft look. I punched out the border and the heart. The buttons are solid wood, crackle paint symbolizing a Swedish proverb “Gammal kärlek rostar aldrig” Old love never grow rusty (or something like that). The flowers ar blingy, and there is a bling heart. The blue punched paper is a patterned blue paper from Pink Paislee

Tonight I’m watching the second episode of True Blood!!!

Something spooky (sort of) and some love

Spooky… Well I don’t know really. I think this Halloween kitty is more cute and charming than anything else. LOL.

Charming kopiera The Cat and sentiment are all part of the Charming Kitty set from Rubber Café. I have no clue where the papers are from. I was lucky to find some Halloween themed papers in a paper stack at a LSS. (Since we don’t celebrate Halloween in Sweden, not much themed products find their way here). They look good (and the owner was so sweet, letting me tear a couple of papers out of it), and all I know is that they are not from any brand I have ever heard of before.

Do you see the little sculls in the green paper??? Too cute!

The card is based on the fantastic Kazan’s sketch #34 over at 2Sketches4You.

And the love part… Thought I’d share a sweet photo of the love birds celebrating 40 years of marriage this last weekend. Aren’t they cute!!!
