Stendansen / The Stone Dance

A Page in Time is celebrating it’s 6th birthday with a week filled of inspiration and one new challenge (with a PRIZE) every day and it will be crowned this weekend with a crop!!!! It’s open for everybody to participate, we want to share our celebration with as many as possible!

The daily inspiration and challenges as well as the crop challenges will be posted HERE, on our message board. I will also post my challenges (Thursday and Saturday) on my blog with proper links.

This first day of celebration, I’m the inspiration gal… LOL! I’ve made a layout out of one of my favorite APiT kits – the June 2010 Fancy Pants kit ( I added a cardstock and some lace).

Stendansen 2 This is hubby and son having fun in a stone maze at the Viking Ting we attended some weeks ago. The maze is named The Stone Dance (stendansen), hence the title. I used the über fabbie sketch of August 15th from Stuck?! and I incorporated a lot of stitching to meet the stitching challenge over at Practical Scrappers.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you soooo much for leaving such sweet comments! They are much appreciated!

Missing you

Hi!

This is my second post today. If you are here for my 365 cards  Super Sketchy Sunday post, scroll down, or click HERE. This post will have a little bit of wining (sorry!), a new card (which I loooove) and my first ever blogged card (which I don’t love as much but trust me, it could have been worse)…

Wining part… oh, well, I’m having a summer cold. And let me tell you some about summer colds. They are NOT FUN!!! And they seem to never end. That’s why it’s been awfully quiet here and why I haven’t visited my blogging friends. Sorry folks! Anyway, I woke up today without a headache and that is a relief. Which also meant I was able to make a card (and spend some time in front of the computer)! Yihaaa!!! And maybe it’s because I was so happy about sitting by my craft table again, I did a card I really, really like! And that is RARE! Here it is – all bluuuue!!!

Missing youUsed some embossing resist technique and look at the fabbie embellies – the crochet flower is made by Li-bee ti (I’ve been hoarding this one cause I loooove that color combo!!!) and the home made wrinkled ribbon  (which has a wonderful sent of something I can’t define) is a gift from Sherry. The card is based on the design of Card Pattern’s sketch #77.

I’m also entering it in .. wee Memories’ .. challenge #18 using brads, buttons and bling. I used pearl brads and a lot of stickles.

Now over to the first card I ever put up on my blog. You should all blame Amy, who has challenged her blog readers to bring up the history… So, this one is my first ever card on my blog, dating back almost exactly three years, August 14th 2007.

RAK-IreneIt’s a RAK for my friend Irene and I had made paper roses for the first time, just like the ones I used on the wedding card last month.  I remember I was mighty happy with it… LOL!!!

Have a great Sunday folks!

Super Sketchy Sunday - Celebrate

Good Sunday folks!!!

Pam has a great new clean and simple beautiful sketch and a fun new sponsor for us this week – Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps! And here is the sketch:

I felt like summer at once I saw it, and the lovely Robyn’s Fetish digi was also summery, so a summery card it is.

Celebrate It’s a clean and simple card, but I like the bright colors of the Bo Bunny papers and green ribbon against the white.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

1 Sketch 3 Cards

One of the good things with the internet world is one can meet friends AND still keep the cold to one self. I appreciate that. I don’t think my colleges will appreciate me very much when I go to work today… I’ll make it an in and out operation to minimize the damages.

I have not one but three cards to share today. SCRAPLAGRET, (great web shop with excellent selection of papers!!), is having THE most perfect challenge for me these days – to make three different cards out of the same sketch. So I did, using the same stamp sets (my favorite clear stamps from Prickley Pear) and papers (Origins by Basic Grey). Here we go.

scraplagret 1Scraplagret 2Scraplagret 3My son loved them and decided to name the trio “Gul, grönare, grönast” (Yellow, greener, greenest – but it doesn’t sound as good in English). Here they are all together:

Delicious Autumn

I’m preparing for the Autumn to come… The students will arrive in two weeks and then the autumn term is a fact. The new fabbie rubber from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps are helping me in my tries to adjust to the after summer pace.

The new autumn and Halloween rubber will be available in the web shop on Saturday and Prickley Pear is celebrating the occasion with a little sneek-peak give away HERE!!!

And I have a card to share with a lot of heat embossing on it. I used the Delicious Autumn sentiment and Leafy background stamps for this one, together with some distress inks and clear embossing powders.

Augusti 2I tucked in a little bird from the Birdcage set since it was a perfect fit with the sentiment. August 2 detalj  For the leafy edges, I used the background stamp, inked it up and wiped some of the ink off before stamping, so that I retrieved a un even edgy look. Then heat embossed. Love how that came out!

Augusti 2 detalj 2The design is based on this week’s Mojo Monday skethc #151 and I’m also entering it in Creatalicious 3D challenge. Every layer is mounted on  3D foam.

Thank you so much for visiting! Have a lovely day!

Glad af Gillberga

A couple of weeks ago we had a lovely day at the Viking Center watching some Viking live games, visiting the fair, enjoying the looks and smells (some REALLY SMELLED) of old handicraft etc. One of dear son’s favorite things was the Viking Ship Glad af Gillberga. Check him out, notice that POSE!!! :D Doesn’t he look like a big and brave Viking??? LOL!

Glad af GillbergaA clean layout using some of my Crate stash I’ve been hoarding for quite some time. I used the fab August sketch #1 from Stuck?!. Loved this one! Stuck?! is having a birthday celebration this month, with bonus sketches and a fun blog hop, so if you need some serious inspiration head on over!!!

I had a great evening yesterday with New Moon! I had two bored boys roaming the TV area while watching, so I really REALLY look forward to see Eclipse at the movies tonight, with only Twilight friendly faces around!

Have a great day!!!

The new Halloween stamps have landed

I know, it is still summer. But trust me, autumn is around the corner… LOL! Anyway, new stamps are fun, any time of the year! So here is my take on Laura’s sketch #58 over at 2Sketches4You:

Halloween 1 They are awesome, the new Halloween stamps from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The bad guy is paper pieced and layered for great dimension and that cauldron is heat embossed with some glossy accents in the “bubbles” and on the bats.

I did a quick tag too, using the silhouette bat. I couldn’t for my life get a decent photo of it. The black embossed surface looks weird. I blame it on the strange light outside at the moment.

Halloween 3 I’m off to make a quick dinner. Afterwards, I’ll watch New Moon! Cause tomorrow I’m going to the movies with a friend to watch Eclipse. Wahooo!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
