One fantabulous sketch week over at 365 cards is followed by an even more fantabulous lift week. It’s like Christmas Eve two weeks in a row. The challenges this week will be to lift the styles and cards of the DT. First up is Gloria with her clean and elegant vintage style. The card to lift is this beauty:
It’s fantastic. In my card, I didn’t even try go in the masculine direction – don’t have it in me I think, instead I did a feminine card, but followed the blue and distressed beige color scheme, and the card design. I also used a ticket as decoration.
Papers: Fancy Pants, Bazzill, old book pages |
Stamp: Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps – Vintage Musical Figures |
Ink: Distress Ink – Broken China, Faded Jeans |
Decos: Ticket – Tim Holtz, Angel – YouDo, Bling – Zva, Brad – American Crafts, ribbon and lace from my stash. Clear embossing powder - Ranger |
I got the background paper (it’s an old Fancy Pants) from sweet Anna – she remembered that this is one of my all time favorite papers and I got 3 sheets from her. I think the soft pattern and that rich teal color is wonderful. Thanks again, Anna!!!
Did you notice the paper flower? I saw these amazingly beautiful homemade vintage flowers on some fantastic cards made by Janice earlier this week. Check those cards out HERE. I simply had to try it out. She kindly pointed me in the direction of Dawn McVey’s video tutorial HERE.
I gave my flower a shower of glimmer mist to follow the color scheme.
Thanks for the inspiration, Gloria!
Have a lovely day!

girl this is stunning!!! and WOW what a flower, fantastic!! i picked up an old book at the thrift store just to us for flowers, well a crafter has to do what needs to be done in order to create, right? LOL
As usual you never fail to disappoint, great job, and thanks for the tip on the flower that is really pretty!!!

Oh, Tessa. What a perfect girlie version of my card! I looooovvveee it. Like Rose, I keep old books around just so I can rip them up to make "junk" out of them. I have this great 1920s Salvation Army song book that I use for vintage music. I almost hate to rip it up...almost. I am always on the hunt for old crap, as my dh calls it. LOL
This is just fab card!
I love your girlie take on Gloria's card.
The flower is gorgeous! I love making my own flowers, as you probably have noticed from my cards...
I love your work!
