Thankful for you

Hi folks!
Today I have a project up on the Prickley Pear blog  using several of my favorite stamps and dies. I'm back to work this week, and it really feels like fall is upon us. Hence the theme of my project.

Here is a sneak peak.

All the best!

Hello!

I've made another card with the new release stamps from Prickley Pear. This is my favorite set, soooooo cute. :) I had serious fun with my distress inks and am really happy about how this turned out.

I used the new sketch from Sketch Saturday, but flipped it upside down.

I'm also linking it up with Let's Color Linky Party 11

Off to play pool with my boy. Have a fab weekend!

Thinking of you

Happy Saturday, folks! It's a cloudy day (again), so I've been clearing out some of my scrap supply. I will get my new apartment next week, and I simply can't clutter it with all of my stuff. Soooo, I'm selling some of my old stamps on Facebook. Even though I haven't used them for YEARS, it's been kind of hard to let them go. Like this set from Pink Paislee... I had to make a last card before sending it away. :)

I was inspired by this week's challenge over at CAS(E) this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sharing together is our special tea

Hi! I found a new (for me) challenge blog the other day - The Card Concept. As a former challenge junkie I can't believe I've missed it for years. Anyway, it looks like so much fun and got me into a mojo state of mind so I whipped up this card with some oldies (but goldies) from Heartfelt Creations.

The challenge is A: to be inspired by this photo, and B: choose one of the listed styles. I had a try with the Shabby Chic style. (At least I tried. :) )

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi!

Almost a year since I last posted here. Feels like longer. Since it's October and breast cancer awareness month, I'd like to share my story.

I went to Princeton and Washington in October last year, came home and found not one but two urgent letters from the breast cancer center at the local hospital. Right before leaving I had done the breast cancer screening offered to women over 40 and I am so happy I did. They had found a huge tumor in my left breast. It turned out that it had also spread to the lymph nodes.

I'm alive because of the screening program and I will forever be grateful for it. And I smack myself for not checking my breasts myself - I could feel it, once I knew! If it had been found earlier so much would have been easier. So I urge all of you to please check your breasts! :)

The past year has included operation, chemo, radiation and now medication. Not a trip in the park, but I'm alive and kicking. :) I've done well, the hair is coming back, the support has been amazing and it's about time to start anew. A proof of my recovery is the recent urge to craft!

I was on the Reprint DT when I was diagnosed. And this amazing company has been nothing but supportive while I've been occupied with other stuff. I'm really happy to finally be able to contribute to their blog!

This was such a fun card to make, I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's youtube video Stamping with water and had to try this technique. Love how the background came out, and also love to be learning something new.

The card was inspired by the lovely sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share. :) Take care, and I hope to see you soon! :)

Happy Birthday

A friend of mine turned 60 last week. She spent her birthday in New York visiting Jazz clubs. There sure are worse ways to celebrate… :) Here is the card I made her.

Grattis I 3

The flowers (Posy patch flowers PreCut Set) from Heartfelt Creations) are masked and colored with copics. Need to practice more on that coloring technique. But I think they turned out ok, and I’m really happy about this card.

I’m playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch #96.

I have a second card to share, a Halloween card. They are so much fun to make but we don’t celebrate Halloween. But after seeing Audrey’s Haunted House Tour, I sure wish we did!

This week’s colors over at Poppy sketches called for something spooky, so I pulled out an old favorite from The Rubber Café.

happy alloween 2

More masking on this one.

The rain is pouring. It won’t stop until late afternoon. I’m so happy we are playing golf today… NOT! :)

Have a lovely Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday card

My ex mother in law turned 82 the other day and I decided to make her a card. Spring flowers and butterflies might not be the most obvious theme for a fall birthday card – but hey, they are pretty, right! Being born late September I know everything about no strawberry cake and tulips for my birthday. :) I say no more. :)

Ett stort 1

I really like how this card turned out. Simple but the papers are absolutely wonderful. Everything is from Reprint, and this card with product information is up on the Reprint Blog today.

Ett stort 2

I used last week’s sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches, really liked that one. Too late to play, though.

I’m going to Princeton in November. Sooo looking forward to go the the US again! Never traveled beyond the city lines of New York last time, this time it’s New Jersey. It will take me some time to cover the continent… Anyway, any scrappy shopping possibilities in the Princeton area??? Give me a shout out if you have any tips!

Thank you for stopping by!!!

Miss You a Latte

Hello! Hope you all have had a great weekend. I took some time and made a couple of cards but spent even more time browsing the web and lost myself in all the amazing inspiration out there. It’s been a good day! :)

I bought a few MFT sets a while back and now I finally inked one of them up.

Miss you a latte

I’m playing with My Favorite Things Get Sketchy Challenge this week.

Now it’s time for an episode of Game of Thrones with my boy. Thanks for stopping by!

Believe

Happy Monday!

I have a quick card to share today. I am working from home and treated myself with an hour lunch break spent by my craft table. I love my work! :)

It’s another Christmas card, I’m playing along with Jingle Belles again this week.

Believe

The challenge prompt is We Three Kings – to use at least three patterned papers. I used some fab Christmas Song papers from Riddersholm Design. The stamps and die are from Heartfelt Creations.

I used this week’s sketch from Mojo Monday. Love it! :)

And I’m entering it in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge – anything goes.

Back to work for another hour or so. Have a great new week!

Together

Happy Wednesday! I’m up on the Reprint blog today with a card made of a paper I totally adore. Love, love, love the soft text pattern and the rose buds along the edges. I knew I’d use it at once I saw retrosketches #133.

Together 2

The sentiment and butterflies are embossed with copper. Kept the design clean to let the paper and embossed stamps shine.

Together 4

Here is the fab sketch:

I have a second card to share. I’ve been playing with my Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. It was a long time ago and I’ve missed them. I teamed up a few of my favorite sets and had some fun.

Hello 1

I used this great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I’m also entering the card in Creatalicious Challenge – flowers. I meant to use a lot more flowers, but the clean gene hit me. On the other side, the one flower is the center. :)

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fab day!

Happy Holidays

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

I’ve started on my Christmas cards. Love making them, they are my favorite themed card. It was pure joy to bring out the holiday stash. I found this beautiful MME paper which I’ve hoarded for I don’t know how long.Three years or. Time to use it! :)

Happy Holidays 2

I’ve used Amy’s fab sketch from Jingle Belles.

It’s a great one – perfect for clean and simple and quick cards (this one took like 15 minutes). Most of the card is done once the paper is glued down to the card base. I added a stamp and some lace and twine. Done.

Happy Holidays 3

My second card is this week’s Reprint project. I used the cutest little bear stamp and Reprint Basic Collection Pastel 6x6.

 Björnen sover 1

A close up. :) I stamped the bear twice, colored it with distress ink and layered them to get some action.

Have a fab day!

To a beautiful you

Happy Thursday everyone! The week is halfway done and it feels good. Busy week for sure! But since my mojo is back, I’ve been sure to save up some time to make a few cards. Here is one of them. I had totally fun bringing out my mists and stencils. :)

To a beautiful you 1

The medallion is a clear stamp and one of the first I ever bought 6 or 7 years ago. It is still a favorite and I’ve used it over and over again. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations. Totally love it!

I’m playing with Poppy Sketch #13. Great colors, great sketch! Have to play!

To a beautiful you 3

And now I have to work!

Have a great day!
