Favorite scrappy tools

There is a fun, fun, fun challenge going on over at These Are a Few of My Favorite Things  - to scrap about ones favorite scrappy tools. Since mine is my stitching machine and I bought a new one (new to me, I think it’s about 10 years old…) I had to play along.

favoritverktyg

I got me an iPhone this weekend and I’ve had some fun with it these past days. Like downloading some apps… Had to try the photo editing app out, right! And while at it, I couldn’t stop with just the stitching machine…

Used the super duper gorgeous sketch from Inspired Blueprints. Check it out!

Time to make dinner! Take care!

First birthday

Here is a layout about my first birthday, many, many years ago. I’ve scanned the old photos and they were quite taken by all the years they’ve spend in a non photo friendly environment. I managed the yellowness by converting them into black and white.  (+ I didn’t want the colors for this page to be brown and orange… Oh they joys of the 70’s)

1åring

I used my yummy Echo Park – For the Record kit. This is my take on this week’s fabbie Sketchy Thursdays  sketch:

Here are a couple of detail shots. I’m mighty happy with the stars. I misted the paper with smooch sun kissed mist (great shimmering yellow look!!!) and then covered it all with crackle accent.

the 1 is printed out from the computer and layered on black cardstock and covered with my favorite Glimmer Glam (love that stuff!!!) but it’s imp0ssible to catch on photo!

Coffee break is up, time to head back to the essays I’m grading. Have a FAB day!!!

after the rain…

I got me some cute, cute, cute S.W.A.L.K stamps from Scrap-Perra. It’s so much fun coloring these adorable images and I  wanted to give them a real bright and happy look and team them up with some yummy colorful MME Stella & Rose for this week’s post over at the Scrap-Perra blog.

Crafters 1

Love, love, love the sentiments in these sets. Like this! I thought this one called for a joy fold card with a sunny inside.

Here is a second one. Also with a super cute sentiment (A hug is always the right size), but I needed a birthday card for a girl so I let that part rest.

Crafters companion 2

I’ve kept it real simple, not much fuzz, cause I LOVE these papers. I need a second batch, they color my world! : ) : ) : )  Added some brads in the corners and put on some crackle accent for a fun effect and finished it all off with some lace and glitter pen on the sentiment.

Have a great Tuesday!!

Show us your Prickley Pear

Hi folks, there are some exciting changes coming to Prickley Pear  and we hope you will enjoy them as much as we do. Our design team has been gearing up with some fabulous ideas, challenges, and inspiration.

But first, we want to see how YOU use your Prickley Pear stamps. Leave us a link to your blog or gallery in the comment section of this post and each week, we will highlight a few of the items we find at the Prickley Pear Blog. At the end of the month, we will randomly choose a winner from the highlights to win some rubbery goodness. So, leave us your link and get creative with your stamps, you never know when the PPRS fairy will stop by your blog.

Here are two ATCs from me:

ATC vintage

Next stop Semi Finals!

Happy Tuesday! : )

Yesterday I shared a DT layout over at Scrap-Perra and I thought I’d share it here too. It’s a page with my new darlings from Echo Park – For the Record. LOVE this stuff!!!

semifinal nästa

The pic is from Wednesday last week after the game which secured a spot in the semi finals for our hockey team FBK. Me and my boy were there with lovely Anna and had a blast. I’m not much into sports, and I really think this time of year with hockey games on the tellie every other day for week after week after week is horrible. Really. The background sound one is forced to live with, gahhhhhh… Anyway, being there was a completely different story. And the boy loved it. I’ll do it again! : ) : ) : )

Lookie at the fab canvas flower! I cut it out from a Prima mistable canvas and misted it up real good. It shimmers!!!

I used a great sketch from a new (to me) challenge blog: ScrapFit!

Got to go! Wake my kid up!

See ya! Tesa

Blingy Penny Black!

Howdy! Hope you are having a good weekend! We’ve had a beautiful day today! Lookie at this!!! Know what it is?

03 18_8587_redigerad-1

It’s a sign of spring. It’s my street. I haven’t seen it since November. Let’s say it’s about time and that I’ve been longing for it! : ) : ) : )

I’ve had a busy week but today I finally found some time to make a card.

January á la Bromans

Of all the scrappy goals I’ve had and failed this year, I decided to stick to one – to make a double pager about the past month for a 2011 album. And now I’ve done my first, about our January. The theme was a really easy pick – SNOW! We’ve had a lot of that stuff…

This is my DT page for Scrap-Perra this week. All the patterned papers are from the oh so lovely Stella and Rose, Hattie line from MME, and more product info can be found HERE (in Swedish).

Hi!

The boy and I are cleaning the house. He just finished the guinea pig cage and demanded a break with ice cream. Who am I to reject??? Thought I’d take the opportunity to blog my cards for today. We’re off for some shopping and movie when we’re done and when we get home hubby will be here. And I guess he would like some family time the hours he is home before leaving for tomorrows conference in Umeå.

First up is a paper pieced Happy Birthday card. I combined my best buys from the crop last weekend: The Stella and Rose paper pad, the doily stamps from MME and the banner from Vilda Stamps.

I did this for the Paper Piecing Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. And the design is based on this months sketch over at Svensk Scrapbooking.

Second card is for this week’s Card Pattern’s sketch 106.

But withered leaves

Papers are Bello Pastello from Riddersholm Design. Gorgeous greens and pinks. Love that line! The stamps used are from Prickle Pear. The wings are from the Winged Heart stamp, but I covered the heart part with a tag done with the Rosebud circle stamped with the sentiment  But withered leaves.

but withered leaves detalj

I covered the wings with thin coat of glitter and also added some to the sentiment. It shines. The Rosebud circle is stamped with Tombow pens.

The break is over, the boy’s ice cream is gone and the floors await. Have a fab Sunday!

Spellbinders storage

Hi! Hope you are having a fab weekend!

I’ve had a busy weekend so far – been working and had exams of essays at the university today, but now I’m chillin’ with a cold beer and some computer time! I’m only a little irritated cause I updated the windows live writer (finally!) and now I can’t make smilies without them converting to ugly symbols. Like this: Ler Gahhhh!

Anyway, I’ve used the scrap time I’ve had the last couple of days to make a new storage for my dies.

Dies 1

Dies 1 öppen

I saw this kind of book solution at the crop I attended last weekend and it was love at first sight. Kattiz (who was sitting by my table) had made a tutorial HERE, and it was super easy to make these, using magnetic driving practice signs.

I did two! And I’m off for the store to get me some more of those signs, so that I can get all my dies in storage!

Dies 2

Dies 2 öppen

I kept the decorations to a minimum, I want them to be easy to store and transport. I went crazy with the stamping on the second one…. and I didn’t measure things up. But on the good side, It didn’t take long…

I’m off to make dinner and then it’s time for the Swedish finals of the national Eurovision Song Contest trials.

Take care!

Altered chocolate bar

My hubby is going away for a mini vacation with “the boys” and I thought I’d make him a little go away present. He loooves chocolate (who doesn’t???) so an altered chocolate bar it is. I tucked it in with his clothes so he’ll find it once arrived to the cabin.

Alter choklad

All papers used except brown cardstock are the new Bello Pastello papers from Riddersholm Design. Gorgeous colors and patterns!  The stamps are from Prickley Pear. The border stamp Black Eye Susans Border  is from the spring release and a new favorite.

Alter choklad tag

I made a little tag where I wrote a little something. I stamped The Rosebud Circle  with a part of the Flourished Bird Cage.

Alter chocklad detalj

Here is a detail shot of the Clock Face with Wings. I covered the clock with crackle accent and added some glitter to leaves and flower.

I’m entering this into Simon Says Stamp challenge – anything goes. That is my type of challenge!  : )

I’m off for a game of Jazzy.  Thanks for stopping by!

Super Sketchy Sunday and a Fond Farewell!

Hi peeps!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 365 Cards is here to top it off with a fun sketch challenge! Pam used some of her special coffee and made a sketch that is absolutely über FUN to work with!!! Check it out!

Sketch 1

I played with  some of my new toys while making it. New papers and stamps from MME, supah FUN new toy (well it’s not mine, but it might be mine in a near future…) I-top. Scrap-Perra just got them in. I’m making my own brads. Wehooo!!!

doilies 2

See the brad? Made it with paper from the Stella & Rose paper pad. Today I’m trying out with some fabric! :):):)

This is my last card as a 365 Cards DT member *sniff*. It’s been 1 year and 1 week of pure JOY with the best bunch of ladies around! Thank you girls!!! I’ll be stocking you and continue to play with the challenges. Just not as a DT! :):):)

I just got back from the two days crop me and mom has been attending. We’ve had a BLAST!!! Met so many wonderful people, shopped like CRAZY and even got to make a couple of cards. Two out of three destroyed by coffee… Oh well, I had fun making them!  I’m not on the crop to get a lot of cards or layouts done. At all. :)

Take care!!!

Thursday…

…means it’s soon Friday. Friday is the day I get my boy back. :):):)

It also means it’s soon Saturday. Saturday is the day the big Scrapbook Expo in Karlstad starts. I can’t WAIT! 14 Scrapbook stores including “mine” where I’m on the  DT, two days crop, challenges, meeting EVERYBODY… It’ will be a blast!

I’ll go with my mom and this will be the third expo we’ve visited together. We’ll have some quality time together and I love that!

I promised a non CAS card today. So here is one of the projects I did for Darkroom Door – a recessed window card.

Wildflower

Wildflower detalj

The beautiful center piece is from Art de Fleur Photochips and I also used the Wildflowers vol. 2 stamp set.   I love these photochip images from Darkroom Door. So versatile. I used another set, the Viva La Flora, to make a note pad holder. It was perfect size and the photochips are really thick and sturdy, perfect for this use!

Post it

Post it insida

I have this one in my purse. The lock is a magnet.

I have to get back to work. Lunch hour is over. Have a lovely Thursday!!!

Some cards…

Hiiii!!!

I returned from a business trip late last night and it’s soooo good to be home! But I do like staying at a fancy hotel, with a bed of my own, fantastic food (three course meals for both lunch and dinner, not to mention the pastry buffet we had EVERY break… I grew these two days. Everybody did!) and a remote control I don’t have to fight over. :):):)

When I got back I did a super quick card. I was lucky enough to make it to the third round of SCS Spring Showers CAS challenge. And deadline is today at noon, soooo if I wanted to play the final round, I had to make that card. It’s super clean and super simple but I kind of like it. The challenge is FLOWERS. I used my new Hero Arts stamp, and it’s simply gorgeous so you don’t need to do much more than stamp it.

Be natural

The colors are a little wonky, I did have to take the photo without good light, before work. But you get the idea.

Here is the card that took me from round two. It was a color challenge: Kraft, pink and chocolate + white/vanilla. Fabbie bird cage stamp is from Prickley Pear.

Thinking of you

I love CAS! But I’ll be back tomorrow with a non CAS card. Love them too… LOL!!!

Have a great Wednesday!!!!
