Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge
5/27/2011
TGIF!!!
I’m so happy it’s Friday!!! I’ve been longing for this day for a couple of weeks, cause tonight I’ll se my mom and dad! :)
This month I started to subscribe to Cocoa Daisy kits. Haven’t had a kit in YEARS so it was super fun to receive the May Vintage inspired package. I had to dig into it right away!!!
I also have a couple of cards to share. First up is the birthday card I’ve made for my cousin who turned 30 yesterday. She is a 50’s inspired gorgeous looking lady, so the Prickley Pear stamp was an easy pick as main image. A lot of other stamps too…
This card is for the Scrap Fever Competition over at Magda’s Scrapbooking. The challenge was to use at least five different shapes.
This week’s Card Patterns sketch is as fab as always. I used it for my Scrap-Perra blogpost earlier this week using some überly fab Crate papers.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge. Hope to see you then! Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Grrrrr!
I have for several days had serious problems with commenting on blogs. Blogger’s last update on the issue is from the 24:th. They are working on it… It’s extremely annoying. The blog I tried to comment on five minutes ago already had 24 responses but it wouldn’t take mine! GRRRRRRR. Just wanted you to know why you haven’t seen me much. I’m around, but not able to leave comments.

Letting go - Skrållan
I was sitting by my scrap desk this morning when suddenly a bad cold attacked me from behind. Never saw it coming. Within 20 minutes I went from “normal” to red nosed, tear eyed whining Tesa. Gosh!
Here is a layout I’ve been working on for the Cocoa Daisy Crop. The challenge was to find something very ready for the bin, scrap about it and let it go when the memories was saved. Sooooo, I finally let go of my beloved doll Skrållan. She was so very special to me, and she was my companion for many, many years. She has been ready to go for quite some time, but it’s been hard… This made it easier.
I’m off for the couch. Have a great ending of this Sunday folks!

A double and Happy Mail Day!
Hi! I’m cleaning my house. Well needed. But I must say I’d rather be scrapbooking… I’m taking a break with a nice cup of tea and thought I’d share the happy, happy mail I received yesterdan and a double I did over a week ago for Magda’s scrap fever competition.
The photos are from our picnic in the archipelago a few weeks back. It was a beautiful day!
I used a great sketch from Sketch Support and the challenge was to be inspired by a beautiful photo of a boy’s room.
And look what I found in my mail box!!! It’s from my dear friend Li-bee ti. It’s a inspiration book with pockets for sketches, photos and other inspiration!! In my favorite color combo – brown and turquoise!!!
♥♥♥ THANK YOU ♥♥♥
I’ll be back later tonight with a second post. Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps is releasing new über FAB red rubber!!! Hope to see you then!

Pink Princess Card
…or sort of. My co worker’s granddaughter is turning 7 on Sunday and she wanted me to make her a girly card. A pink princess card. I don’t know why, but it ended up to be quite a difficult task. LATE last night I finally finished this one up.
I know I used some of my favorite products like the Crate papers (YUMMY) and the banner stamps fro PTI. Also, I got a new stamp, a Tilda. I used this fab sketch from CLP Challenge Blog.
Got to RUN!!!

A card, a tag and a layout
Hi! Monday again. Isn’t there an awful lot of Mondays all the time? I don’t know, but it feels like there are twice as many Mondays as Sundays. Minimum.
Three projects to share today, all using some fabbie The Rubber Café stamps. First up a card. I’m honored to be the Guest Designer over at SCS’s CAS Challenge today and here is my card for that:
The challenge is to be inspired by a word – GIFT. And what is a better gift than sweet cupcakes?? (The bonus is they are guaranteed calorie free). You can find the challenge HERE.
I used the same stamp for my tag. I did this one for the “Truly Scrumptious Challenge” over at Cocoa Daisy’s crop this weekend.
Lot’s of really, really neat stamps on this one. Details on products and technique can be found HERE. And finally, the layout:
This is also a project I made for the Cocoa Daisy crop. This one called “Sew Sentimental”. One was to use faux stitching and scrap a photo of meaning or of sentimental value. This page is about our visit to Prora a few years back and is about how one is hit by History when visiting a place like that. The butterflies are from the Vintage Treasures set.
Off to make dinner. Thanks for stopping by!

A close up on the front. I love this butterfly! And crackle accent! :)
Inside is a decorated lid and a card and a tag:
Her they are:
I made this project for Magdas Scrapbooking Scrap Fever competition – to alter something.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!
Hi folks! Hope you will have a wonderful day filled with scrapbooking. I wont, or, rather, I’ll have a wonderful day (I hope) but it wont be filled with scrapbooking. We have friends visiting over the weekend. But I did make a layout earlier this week.
Isn’t he cute, my nephew Sixten? We met up last weekend and he has grown so much. It’s amazing to think of how tiny he was when he arrived 10 weeks early.
They layout is made for the Scrap Fever challenge over at Magdas Scrapbooking. It’s a lift of this layout.
A close up. Check out the crackle effect of the heart (new fabbie die from mr Hotz).

Cheery Thoughts…
Hi! Here is a new card with the amazing Heartfelt Creations stamps from the Springtime Cardinal Collection. This week I’ve used the Cherry themed stamps and went with bold red and cardstock only.
Lots of layers and pop dots and loads of glossy accents on the cherries. They look really yummy IRL, glossy, thick and juicy! LOL! My cherry trees outside are just barely blossoming, so I guess I’ll have to wait for some real treats. But these will work by now! :) Here is the inside:
Products used: HCPC 3387 Luscious Cherry Swirls PreCut Set, HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly-Border Die, Spellbinders Nestabilities, circles and scalloped circles, Spellbinders Labels Fourteen. Cherries colored with Tombows and coated with Glossy Accents.
Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog today for the reveal of a new set of cards by the amazing Design Team. You’ll find it HERE.
Thanks for stopping by!
