Hello!

I've made another card with the new release stamps from Prickley Pear. This is my favorite set, soooooo cute. :) I had serious fun with my distress inks and am really happy about how this turned out.

I used the new sketch from Sketch Saturday, but flipped it upside down.

I'm also linking it up with Let's Color Linky Party 11

Off to play pool with my boy. Have a fab weekend!

Thinking of you

Happy Saturday, folks! It's a cloudy day (again), so I've been clearing out some of my scrap supply. I will get my new apartment next week, and I simply can't clutter it with all of my stuff. Soooo, I'm selling some of my old stamps on Facebook. Even though I haven't used them for YEARS, it's been kind of hard to let them go. Like this set from Pink Paislee... I had to make a last card before sending it away. :)

I was inspired by this week's challenge over at CAS(E) this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sharing together is our special tea

Hi! I found a new (for me) challenge blog the other day - The Card Concept. As a former challenge junkie I can't believe I've missed it for years. Anyway, it looks like so much fun and got me into a mojo state of mind so I whipped up this card with some oldies (but goldies) from Heartfelt Creations.

The challenge is A: to be inspired by this photo, and B: choose one of the listed styles. I had a try with the Shabby Chic style. (At least I tried. :) )

Thanks for stopping by!

Just wanted to say HI!

Today I have a card up on the Reprint blog. I tend to make a card every other 6 or 7 month... Anyway, it was fun. :)

I was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Hi!

Almost a year since I last posted here. Feels like longer. Since it's October and breast cancer awareness month, I'd like to share my story.

I went to Princeton and Washington in October last year, came home and found not one but two urgent letters from the breast cancer center at the local hospital. Right before leaving I had done the breast cancer screening offered to women over 40 and I am so happy I did. They had found a huge tumor in my left breast. It turned out that it had also spread to the lymph nodes.

I'm alive because of the screening program and I will forever be grateful for it. And I smack myself for not checking my breasts myself - I could feel it, once I knew! If it had been found earlier so much would have been easier. So I urge all of you to please check your breasts! :)

The past year has included operation, chemo, radiation and now medication. Not a trip in the park, but I'm alive and kicking. :) I've done well, the hair is coming back, the support has been amazing and it's about time to start anew. A proof of my recovery is the recent urge to craft!

I was on the Reprint DT when I was diagnosed. And this amazing company has been nothing but supportive while I've been occupied with other stuff. I'm really happy to finally be able to contribute to their blog!

This was such a fun card to make, I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's youtube video Stamping with water and had to try this technique. Love how the background came out, and also love to be learning something new.

The card was inspired by the lovely sketch over at Sketch Saturday.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share. :) Take care, and I hope to see you soon! :)
