I have two projects to share today! First up is a card where I’ve played with amazing metallic gelatos! Yummy!!!

Hi 1

I did the blue background pieces by making a mix of blue metallic gelato and water and simply paint a piece of white cardstock. I used a quite thick mix that gives a good cover. It shines beautifully!!!

gelatos

I filled a mini mister with what was left and now I have a perfect light blue glimmery mist for future projects!

Hi 4

Here is a close up on the stamped background, I painted the big 18th Century Proclamation background stamp with different shades of blue and green Stamper’s Big Brush Pens and stamped it on the gelato piece.

Hi 2

The Small Trailing Butterflies are also colored with Stamper’s Big Brush Pens: green and orange. These pens are AMAZING! They can be used as ordinary markers, BUT they can be used with water before they set which makes shading a piece of cake!!!

Hi 5

The Stamper´s Big Brush Pens are great for stamping too. Perfect when one wants different colors on one stamp or, like here, one want to stamp only part of a bigger stamp. Like the butterflies in the top right corner.

I had super fun trying a few new (to me) techniques! On my second card I used my wonderful Aquarelle Watercolor pencils. I looove those!

Cat home 1e

The stamps used on this card are from the Home is Where Your Cat Sleeps set.

Cat home 2

I did this card for the Gingham Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World!!!

I don't think the camera was able to capture the metallic aspect of the card, but the colors are so vibrant and I learned so many things from your post! The big brush pens work amazingly well and you shaded the butterflies perfectly. TFS!
