Masking is fun...

As my final entrance in the scrapfeber challenge at Magdas, I did a really super fast page (max an hour - and for me that is like no time at all considering...) using my Tim Holtz' fence mask and cake paper. It was fun, I really like the depth and shades it gives. Quick fix... and that was good since I barely made deadline.

I'm happy...

...to have good friends. One of my oldest and closest friend came by today and totally surprised me. They live quite a distanse from here, and we don't meet IRL that often. To busy with our lifes I guess. But we realized that's not the way to have it so we'll have a whole weekend together in three weeks. YAY! So instead of scrapping my fab DT kit from A Page in Time I cooked a delicious dinner and had a wonderful time chatting.

And now, this evening I made my niece a birthday card. She turns 6 on Monday. Time flies. She loves pink and red and I've been saving up some scraps from an older A Page in Time kit which contained lovely Bitter Sweet from BG. I knew at once I saw it she'd love these colors. Now I only hope she'll like my card. I've used Laura's beautiful sketch #24 over at 2Sketches4You.
Have a lovely evening!

Cardset with holder

decided to alter after all. I found this awesome template over at Papertrey Ink and decided to do a box with some cards and stuff. It will be a gift to MIL. I don't alter that often, which is kind of weird since it's sooooo much fun.
Here is the box wrapped, the only thing missing is a gift tag hanging in the bow. It contains six similar cards, a folder with pockets in it to keep stamps and other stuff in, a notebook and a couple of pens.

The patterned papers are MME, and I think they are absolutly gorgeous.
Now I'm off for an eventing walk with my neighbour, and when returning I'll try to get our new mobile internet connection to work. Yeah right.

To alter or not to alter....

The scrapfeber contest over at Magda's is coming to an end on Thursday. That is tomorrow... I still have an alter challenge to do. The ladies over at the contest forum rocked that challenge BIG TIME and I got totally intimidated... Hehe, silly me.

I can't believe I put the lowest butterfly on the "wrong" side of the grungeboard. It's totally un balanced. Tried to put som buttons on the right hand side to compensate, but it doesn't work. Might have to redo it.

A dear friend has been building on her new house for a year and a half. She moved in first week of April and I send her a Happy New Home card with an old Magnolia stamp I found in my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Happy Friday!

TGIF is my absolute favorite acronym! I'm on my way grocery shopping (not a fav thing to do Friday afternoon...) but what is one to do when nobody fills the fridge for me. I have a card to share and then I'm off.

Ha en riktigt, riktigt trevlig helg!!!

Crackle paint...

...is like magic. I love that stuff! And my new silver colored paint is awesome. This is my first try with it and I will for sure use it again!

Made this for the Scrapfeber event over at Magdas. How I'm doing? Not very well, I'm afraid. We have like another week and I've finished four out of twelve challenges... Yeah, I know I'm so lost. But I got a downer a week ago when I had finally made a page for the animal challenge (with dear son and huge Veloceraptor) and J saw it and refused to let me show it. Embarrasing he stated. Instead I tried to do a page with my brother and his rat but I couldn't find a patterned paper to go with his red beard anywhere... It has occupied me the whole week. Finally I made a all white page with him and his beard and his rat but I don't know. His beard totally pops against all the white...

I'm back...

...after one of the most hectic period I've had for years. During the last couple of weeks I've managed to finish and present a substantial part of my dissertation. (It went really well! Wohoo!!!) I've been teaching gender at the teacher training programm at the university (that is FUN but demanding I can tell!!!) Visiting family and trying to be a mum, had a cold (or rather, having a cold) and keep the house at a desent dirt level. What I haven't had time to do is scrap. But yesterday after my final lecture I totally gave in with new FAB Fancy Pants papers which arrived at Anna's Scrapbooking this week.

This little fellow is my nieces rat. They had combed his hair to make a decent appearance when we came visiting. When overcoming the fact he's a rat and that tail of his, he was kind of cute. In his own rattish way...
