Hello! How You Doin’?

Hi!

Over a month since my last post… well, life has been rough. What can I say… Since I blogged last, I’ve separated from my husband and moved to a new home. It’s been difficult and busy, but now things are falling into place. I love my apartment and I really find the new life I’ve started quite good. :) And this weekend I managed to start my internet and got my scrap space in place and managed to make not one but TWO cards! Yay!

Here is one of them:

how you doin 2

It’s a card I made to a long lost friend. We were class mates for 12 years! and good friends, but lost touch when we both moved to different regions of Sweden. She sent me a sympathy card when my dad died and I wanted to let her know how much I appreciated that.

I used some new stamps, well I bought them in New York in July, but when I got home, my dad was really ill and everything started, so I haven’t inked them up until now. The brush image in the background is from My Favorite Things and the Hello is from Mama Elephant and I totally love them both. The paper is American Crafts.

I used this fabbie sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

And I was super inspired by THIS card by amazing Jennifer Timko.

Thank You!

Hi! Long time no see!

Life has been rough the past months. My father lost his struggle against cancer a couple of weeks ago. He went peacefully in his sleep, at home, and we were all there with him giving him all our love and support.

I miss him so much, my heart aches.

Many friends and neighbors have supported us the past months. And it feels good that my first cards after a long break are thank you cards for these people. I made a few cards of the same design, using Seize the Sketch #7.

Tack!

Yep, there are rain drops on the card… awful weather around here. It never stops…

The papers are from MME and the flower stamps are wonderful Heartfelt Creations Tattered Blossoms.

It is stamped with Hero Arts wet cement (new favorite ink!) on MME Indie Chick patterned paper.

Heartfelt Wednesday

Hi all! Sorry to be so absent. We seem to be showered with bad news in this family, peaking ( I hope)  last week. When life is hard it’s difficult for me to find the peace and inspiration to craft and blog and comment. I’m sorry about that. I miss you all and hope to be back on track soon.

With that said, I’m here to share cards from Heartfelt Creations from the last two weeks.

I’ve played some with my all time favorite papers (so far) the Posy Patch Paper Collection. I used it for a card and a match box.

To the world 1

to the world 2

I adore this little bird!!!

And he is on one of the papers too. I used it to dress up a match box.

You are the light 1

And the back.

You are the light 2
