LESSology Challenge Floral Delight

Hi! Happy Thursday! It’s crazy busy at work – still. Which is why I’m not around as much as I use to and want to. Just so you know. :) And that is one of the reasons I made todays project. A canvas to remember me to BREATH! I'll hang it in my office!

I made it for LESSology's Floral Delight Challenge - to use blooms on your altered project (while including something upcycled!) :)

The flower base is a fabbie crochet flower sweet Libeeti made for me and the topper is a flower made out of aluminum tape, gesso and retro punch with a pearl in the center. Inspiration found HERE. Both the crochet flower and aluminum tape is colored with gesso. There are a lot of gesso on this one!

The base is old newspaper covered with gesso and the clothes pins are also painted with gesso and then stamped and heat embossed and then covered with a thin layer of gesso again to get a soft look.

I really like the pins, they make it really easy to change the message of the canvas - the day I don't need to breath... :)

Prickley Pear Monday

Hi! A happy, happy Monday to you!!! Hope the weekend was a good one! I should have worked but I was a really, REALLY bad girl and spent most of the weekend not working. Guess I needed that. And the boy and the house needed that… ;P

I have a Prickley Pear card to share today. I’ve used one of the beautiful clear stamp sets that coordinates with the Scalloped Circle Die. It’s called Clearly Beautiful Flowers Stamps Set.

The papers used are from Riddersholm Design, Turquoise Hills collection. One of my all time favorite lines. Just adore the soft blue on blue pattern!

I used this week’s sketch over at CPS.

First layout of the year

Every time I sit down to make a layout I think to my self I should do this more often. I hope I will the coming year! It’s so much fun! The photos are of my boy and his cousins playing with a car at a mall. I took the photos with my iPhone and they are not that very good, but I think they capture the movement, the action of the situation (let me tell you, I was totally worn out when we finally came out of there!!!).

I used stuff from my Cocoa Daisy kits, the papers, most of the decos and mists and fun stamp. The design is based on this weeks totally gorgeous Let’s Capture These Sketches sketch #115.

I have a card to share too, a CAS card using the cute Pug from The Rubber Café.

Isn’t he totally ADORABLE? He is from the A Pug For The Holidays set. But without reindeer antlers and with non Christmasy papers or embellies he works perfectly fine for any type of card! The sentiment is from the Birthday and Balloons set.

Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday! We are having a wintery morning here in Värmland, Sweden. I’m really happy, even though it’s not more than a thin, thin layer of powdery white covering the ground. Better than nothing! :)

A lot of stuff is going on over at Prickley Pear. A new release of fabbie new red rubber is celebrated by a three day blog hop. If you want a chance to win – check it out HERE! And if you look for my blog hop post – it’s HERE!

And today a new sketch challenge is launched. This is a new favorite sketch, so much fun to work with!

And here is my take:

I went with a Valentines theme using the beautiful Heart Key Crown Clear Stamps Set and the Heart Key Crown Die.

I worked with layers of the die and stamps and stitched them down on the card. The hearts are stamped and clear embossed. The white hearts are stamped with clear embossing ink and then clear embossed and after that inked with the pink Versa Fine ink. Love embossed resist!

The LOVE is stamped with Love stamp and then cut out and mounted on 3D foam.

I totally LOOOOVE the new steam punk stamps. So much FUN!!! And totally new to me so it was a challenge. :)

The stamps I’ve used are Steampunk Locomotive and The Mind Determines.

I used Card Patterns’ sketch #147 as inspiration. It’s a great one – as always!!! I flipped it, but otherwise I stayed pretty close.

My second card is featuring three of the new Valentines themed stamps from Prickley Pear: Hearts ATC, Valentine Cat and My Funny Valentine.

The background is stamped with the Hearts ATC and inked and misted so it glimmers really nice. The Cat is stamped on top and then again on water The hearts got a coat of glossy accents.

I tried to go a bit vintage with the distressing and framing with vintage lace to meet the sketch and vintage twist over at Tuesday morning sketches this week. I really love this sketch, so many possibilities!

Prickley Pear Monday

Hi! Long time no see! Feels like ages since I last blogged. I’ve had serious problems with my internet, but after three looooong weeks with internet on and off, of endless support calls and new modems and I don’t know what, I ‘m sitting here with a working internet on a new laptop. I hope I will not have to deal with Telia in many years (yeah right, like that would happen!)

I have two Prickley Pear cards to share today, both very much CAS. First up is an almost all white card using the Heart Key Crown Die.

I had some troubles with photographing it. Too much white. :) But I like the layers of white on white and it’s really nice irl. I used this week’s CPS sketch as inspiration:

The second card is my take on CASE Study challenge #72. The CASE card by Jen Rzasa is awesome. You find it HERE.

The stamps used are all from the Hot Air Balloon Clear Stamps Set. I used all scraps (yay! patting my shoulder) and my old Japanese Screw Punch for the scalloped border.

Season’s Greetings!

Hi! Hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas! :) Ours has been great. It’s been filled with birthday celebration, family and good food and lots and lots of love. A little short though… Tomorrow it’s back to work again and it’s crazy. Totally crazy. I hope I will find more time to scrap than I did the last couple of weeks though. I miss it!!! And the blog tours… Need to get back to those! Good for my soul! :)

First card I’ve made in two weeks is for SCS Featured stamper challenge. Today’s featured stamper is one of my absolute favorite card makers – Chupa. One amazingly talented lady. And I loooove the card that came out of this scary adventure:

The stamps used are all from The Rubber Café. Warren & Frosty are the cutest couple around. :) I colored them with distress inks and cut out and mounted on a background stamped with 18th Century Proclamation and inked up with some Tea Dye Distress ink. The papers are from MME.

Card Patterns #146

Happy Sunday! We are having such a beautiful day here – a bit chilly and a blue sky with a wonderful SUN! Don’t remember when I last saw that one… I’ll take my boy for a walk after lunch and enjoy the weather!

I have this week’s Card Patterns’ card to share. It’s very special since it is my last as a member of the CP Design Team. I have had six wonderful months on the team and I’ll miss it so much!!! But – I’ll play along and the new team that will start right after the holidays are one awesome bunch of talented ladies… Loads of inspiration to be expected!

LESSology #8 Altered Frame

Hi! A new challenge is up at LESSology blog and here is my project - a few days late and a dollar short… Well, busy life right now! :)

The #8 Challenge is all about altering FRAMES!

Soooo, I brought out an old goldish colored frame I got at a flee market ages ago and decided to frame one of the Vintage Chrismtas tags from Riddersholm Design. So a Vintage frame it is. I went over it with two coats of Gesso before I added an uneven coat of Crackle Paint - Antique Linnen. I wanted a more white color so I gave it another coat of Gesso before inking the edges with chalk.

The inner part of the Frame got some fun Puffies from The Rubber Café, and the lower corner is decorated with diecut leafs and a Poinsettia made of stamps from Heartfelt Creations.

Today we are celebrating Lucia and I thought I'd share the simplest card ever with a super cute stamp from Anette Blåberg/Tisdagar med Tina with Lucia theme.

Yesterday it was my blog day over at The Rubber Café. Pugs have a special place within the heart of this company (to say the least - you HAVE to check out their blog and webpage!!!! ). And of corese there are stamps sets dedicated to the awesomeness of pugs. Like A Pug For The Holidays.

Prickley Pear Monday

I have such a fun Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps project to share today I can hardly wait. :)

I’ve made a snow globe scenery using my Pumpkin and Snowman Clear Stamps Set, Pumpkin and Snowman Die and Evergreen with Star.

Totally hopeless to photograph but you get the picture… The base was originally a bright pink and I’ve painted it with gesso but had to cover it with some outside decoration to make it look ok. Everything is glued down with Glossy Accent so it will stick how many times you shake the globe to get the snow flying!

The snowman is soooo cute!

The background is stamped with the Evergreen with Star rubber stamp on water color paper. It’s heat embossed with a sparkling white embossing powder and then colored with Distress Stains Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters. Some sparkling mist finish it off. The ribbon outside was white but colored in with Distress Stains Peeled paint, so the colors match in real life, but on the photos not so much…

Just a note

Hi!

Yihaa! We got our first snow last night. FINALLY! And it was still there when we woke up. A super thin little layer, but enough for the boy to make a couple of snowballs (which he put in the freezer with the wording "I don't trust this weather, mom").

I'm blogging on Svensk Scrapbooking blog today, we are showcasing some fab dies from Marianne Design this month.

It's such a beautiful frame! And the flower dies that come in the same set are perfect for making 3D layered flowers from in no time.

The flower is layered and worked on and then sprayed with glimmer mist. That makes it shine and when it dries it gets more sturdy.

The butterfly and sentiment stamps are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps - the Clearly Beautiful Butterfly Set (which is my favorite right now - might be a tiny little bit tired of Christmas cards right now...)

This is my take on this week's card over at CASE Study. The card is absolutly STUNNING, made by December muse Amy Sheffer.

Card Patterns #144

Hi!

Here is my take.

I used the new Warren & Friends stamp from The Rubber Café called Cuteness! Donovan & Warren. I adore these two.

A little close up. I colored it with Distress inks and added some glossy accents on their noses and eyes. And some glitter pen sparkle on the presents and ribbons.

And when I had my inks and stamps at hand, I made another CAS card. This time with the Deck the Halls stamp.

I teamed him up with some Spellbinders nestabilities – Circles and Lacey Circles. I thought he was so cute and I liked the cleanness of the card so I didn’t want to mess the front with a sentiment. I put it inside instead.

Both sentiment and image are from the Christmas Tidings set.

We had an hour of garden work this morning. It was absolute horror. Trying to catch the leafs in a storm isn’t easy. But that’s what happens when you are a master in procrastination. At one point you HAVE to do it. (and that point was met like three weeks ago but we haven’t been home…). Anyway, it’s done and my boy and I spent the rest of the day with baking ginger bread. Love this yearly tradition, we play Christmas music, goof around and make awesome ginger breads!

He needs a hair cut. AGAIN!

Now We’re off to a Harry Potter Movie Marathon. Need to get some pop corns popping!

Riddersholm’s Sketch Challenge #3

Happy Friday!!!

It’s wonderful to see the end of this week coming! :) It’s been a good one. Lots of work and actually had some time to make a few cards too! :) And play with my boy. He told me yesterday after an evening spent at the shooting range that he likes to hang with me. I do believe it’s the ice cream treat talking. But still…

It’s time to reveal this weeks sketch over at Riddersholm!

I so loved working with this sketch! Fun and so many possibilities. I actually tweaked it quite a bit but I think you still see the main elements in it!

For my card I teamed up my two favorite products – Riddersholm Design’s papers and Prickley Pear stamps. Yummy! With the addition of a new fabbie doily die!

I simply adore these snowflake papers in white, beige and purple from the I believe line!

Check out the wintery butterfly! It’s from the Clearly Beautiful Butterflis Set from Prickley Pear. It’s heat embossed with color box ink and clear embossing powder. Love the beautiful snowflakes and the text that reads Hope Love Joy!

I decided to ink up one of all the beautiful stamps I got in my welcoming package but never had time to use since I was sprinkled with new stamps every month… :)

I've used the Regal Poinsettia 2 PreCut Set and a sentiment from the Holiday Poinsettia Candle PreCut Set.

Lots of gold and dimension on this card. I love the MME papers!!!

Here is a close up of the sentiment. It's gold embossed on the kraft paper. It's more visible irl. I went over it with a copic too to make it stand out more.

This Monday is for sure a MONDAY. Yikes. Anyway, for me, it’s soon thank you very much. :)

I have a Prickley Pear card to share today. I needed a break from all the seasonal cards so I went for something non Christmasy.

I’ve used the Flourished Bird Cage and Life & Love sentiment stamp. I stamped it on some beautiful vanilla paper with a shine on it. Doesn’t show on the photo though.

The Rubber Café Stuff :)

Hi all! Phew what a crazy week. Soon over, that is gooood! :)

I’ve been a bad The Rubber Café blogger, I have quite a few things to share, that should have been up weeks ago. Anyway, better late than never! I’ll start with a new card though. I got me a bunch of Warren stamps the other day – and they are super CUTE!!!!

So simple, but I didn’t really have the time but felt the urge to ink this cutie up and color him. This stamp is called Presents from Warren. :)

Next up is a gift box with the Pine Wreath.

And finally an ornament using the Winter Bird.

The stamps are truly amazing, and a little tip for European readers – I think The Rubber Café has the best international shipping around. A flat rate of $ 1.99 up to orders of 1,8 kg! Just sayin’!

Hi all! Hope the weekend was a good one! Mine was great, I got tons of stuff done. Work, cleaning and some DT stuff. :)

Here are my Prickley Pear cards for this week:

I made this for one of the Cocoa Daisy Fall Crop challenges, to be inspired by a sweater. It was beautiful and I love how my card came out. I used the JOY stamp and masked the letters so that I could separate them. I heat embossed them and added some stickles on top. They sparkle. :) And the super cute Small Winter Love Birds that I use over and over again.

And here is a quick card I did yesterday morning for SCS Featured Stamper Challenge:

I lifted THIS card and I loved how she had a blue on blue theme, so I went with that but used white instead. The sentiment is With Christmas GoodWill, my favorite Christmas sentiment this year.

Card Patterns #142

Today’s Card Patterns Sketch is a super fun one. Loved working with it! I started with making different panels, but ended up with a stamp marking the different areas of the front. A little cheating, but I like how it came out! :)

Hi all! Happy new Week! I’m here to share my Prickley Pear project of the week. I made a layout for a change. I love using my stamps on layouts and many of the clear stamp sets and dies are perfect design elements for scrapbook pages. Like the Oak and Maple Leafs Clear Stamps Set and Oak and Maple Leaf Die,

The photos are from one of our Sunday walks this fall. I love fall when the air is chilly and the sky is high with a sun shining from a blue sky on all the yellow leafs. This was one of those perfect fall days.

I heat embossed the leafs and cut them out with the die and then I went over them with some distress inks: Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge.

And I finished it all off with some beautiful Leaf Flourish in the corners.

All the products used apart from the stamps are from the Cocoa Daisy October kit. It’s yummy! :) And I based the design on this week’s lovely sketch from Sketchy Thursdays:

A while ago I got a new stamp set from Riddersholm Design. New brand for me, Aladine from France. And I must say I’m in love. The set is all about sweing and has 23 totally adorable stamps. It’s perfect for The Celebrating Hobbies Challenge over at Moxie Fab World!

A little late…

…but I promise this is the last Halloween project you’ll see on my blog this year! :)

My boy was on a Halloween themed birthday party and not only did his mom sew him a dress (!!!!) she did cards to the two birthday girls (and was much more confy with the latter!!!)

I’m using two of my favorite new release stamp sets from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The coffin and scull are both from the Dancing Skeleton Clear Stamps Set and Oak and Maple Leaf Clear Stamps Set. I’m also using the Dancing Skeleton Die and Oak and Maple Leaf Die.

I love how the leafs came out! I made a little tut of how to make these HERE.

Hi! Happy Friday!!!! I’ll work for another couple of hours, then I’ll call it Weekend! Yihaa! Feels great! :) :) :)

I played some in my scrap room last night. I was supposed to do a swap thing (WHY do I sign up for these things????), but ended up playing with this week’s CASE Study challenge. The card to CASE is out of this world and made by Kryssi Ng. Check it out HERE! The DT samples rocked my socks off. There. I couldn’t make me NOT do it. :)

For once I LOVE how my card came out. No wonders since I use one of my all time favorite Sassy papers and the super cuuuute stamp that reads: The dust balls in the corners are the slippers of the Angels. I’ll send it to a friend who really needs to slow down. Hope she gets the hint… :) I made her a little treat box too, I’ll fill it with that awful coffee bean candy she loves (silly girl!).

I found the super easy peasy little box on SCS and it’s made of a 6x6 piece of paper and a few scores. Info HERE. It’s CUTE! :)

Here is a quick card I whipped up last night while the boys were watching some junk on the tellie. They would be better off with a hobby like mine! :)

All the papers and the tag are from Riddersholm Design. Love The Day Before collection with the traditional colors and patterns!

I used this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

And here is a layout I did this past weekend. It’s with my boy’s school photo so I wanted to keep the design pretty clean and formal. Just like the photo. (which I looove! ♥♥♥)

There are a lot of Cocoa Daisy kit goodies on this one. From different kits I think – I’m such a mess! :) I really like how the colors came out. It’s such a neat combo with the green and blue and turquoise.

A Prickley Pear kind of Monday

Happy Monday and a Happy Halloween to all my US friends (and anybody else celebrating it!) :)

The Prickley Pear Blog is filled with Design Team inspiration ranging from Halloween to Christmas. I decided to make a Thanksgiving set with a card and box.

I used the wonderful Chantilly Dawn papers from Riddersholm Design. I think these are my favorite papers EVER! :) Blue and brown – such a beautiful combination!

I used the inspiring sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

And here is the box.

First time I tried one of these boxes – super easy and quick. I had the box done in like five minutes. I like! :)

Here is a close up on the beautiful sentiment stamp from Prickley Pear. It’s called Autumn is a second spring and is a stamp I return to again and again. And so are the new clear stamps and coordinated die: Oak and Maple Leafs Clear Stamps Set and Oak and Maple Leaf Die.

There is still ONE day to participate in the PPRS sketch challenge! A really neat prize is on stake and only a few participants. Just sayin’…

We have a new fab sketch from Card Patterns. I love this sketch and used if for my dad’s birthday card. It was perfect with the stripes where one could write the sentiment.

I used some über yummy MME papers. I’ve had this paper pad for a month on my desk. Couldn’t bring me to start cutting (duh!) but my dad is worth it! :)

I love the brown and turquise combo! And I love my Maya Road stamps, use them all the time!

Here is the inside. I sent him (and mom) the new school photo of our boy. He looks so big! I adore this photo of him, and you’ll see a layout with this real soon…

Heartfelt Goodbye!

Hi folks! Happy Saturday! It’s a wonderful sunny autumn morning and it feels sooo good to have a couple of days off. The week’s been CRAZY. I’ve been all over Sweden and I really don’t enjoy flying so I’m really happy to be home and in my scrap room! I’ve tried to catch up, but if I missed something I’m sorry. I had gazillions of posts in my reader…

My Wednesday Heartfelt Creations post didn’t post as planned, so I redo it and share a couple of new cards today instead. It’s a special post since it’s my fond farewell to the Heartfelt Creations Design Team. I decided I needed to downsize my commitments so I never reapplied. It is a good decision but that doesn’t make it any easier… :( I’ve loved every minute of being on the team and the stamps are amazing!

Anyway, here are two Christmas inspired cards and a good bye!

Hi! Today’s card is for my mom. She’s in Turkey for a two week vacation and she will be back by the end of the week. We talk every day and play wordfeud like crazy when she’s home so it’s been really empty without her. I wanted her to know. :)

All the stamps are from The Rubber Café – I’m using the Yellow Foxtail, Green Foxtail, Leaf Set 2 and Fabulous Phrases.

Even more Halloween fun…

We don’t celebrate Halloween. Some in Sweden do but it’s a non issue around here. Or has been, cause this year, suddenly our house is flooded by different Halloween projects… It’s strange, but this theme has slowly grown with me and I’m finding it more and more fun to create with purple, black and orange.

Or like in this project aluminum and black.

Free Spirit?

TGIF!!! Hope you are all having a beautiful day!!!

I have a layout to share today with my sweet boy. He is turning 11 and is in the process of growing up and become more independent. Sometimes it is a quite annoying process, sometimes it is so very funny. My boy is awesome. ♥♥♥

The photos are from two weeks back when I found my boy doing his homework LYING on our kitchen table making his homework. When asked, he stated that my rules (which includes NO LYING on my kitchen table) is hindering his creative development. I still haven’t figured out the creative part about lying on the table, but we sure did have a very fun conversation. :)

I used the Cocoa Daisy September kit for this one. Love the papers, look at the blue and green/yellow combo. Yummy! The birds are GCD chippies sprayed with Maya Road Glimmer mist.

I used the totally FAB sketch by Becky Fleck over at Page Maps.

I was also inspired by this poster I found on Pinterest, Anja Wade’s Graphics and Words board . I stamped the quote (from Dead Poets’ Society) and used birds as decorative elements.

LESSology #4 The Wall Art Challenge

Hi! The new challenge over at the LESSology blog is a super fun one – Wall Art. I’ve done quite a few canvases lately so I thought I’d try something new.

It’s a metallic relief created with some amazing aluminum tape I picked up in the hardware store. I’ve seen some amazing work around blog land and thought I’d give it a try. The idea is to build a relief to be covered with the tape. To enhance the objects one paint it all with black acrylic paint and then rub it off. Some of the paint will stay and enhance the objects.

My wall art consists of 4 4x4 pieces made out of a cereal package and spells Love. It turned out ok for a first try, but it’s impossible to take a decent photo.

Halloween Fun!!!

We are having a Halloween theme on The Rubber Café blog. We don’t celebrate Halloween around here, but my boy had a Halloween themed party a couple of years ago and I still have a couple of photos to scrap. Like this on of my boy with a plate of fingers which was the welcome treat for the guests. We had so much fun making them and they look pretty much like fingers… Yikes.

I used the Pumpkin Face Mix-N-Match set and the Trick or Treat set from The Rubber Café on this page. And the papers and stickers are all from Echo Park. Love these papers!!! I used the fabbie sketch from Sketchy Thursdays:

And Halloween is all about Halloween treats. So I made a treat box using a template from Cathe Holdens blog Just something I made. You can find it HERE. It was really easy to make and the possibilities are endless.

I stamped the You need to dust spider web on the front of the house and used the ghost from the Trick or Treat set as a front decoration. He got a layer of Crackle Accent as did the moon and bat – Just Batty stamp, and the Happy Halloween stamp.

The house has a lid in the bottom, so that you can fill it with what ever. Like yummy dark chocolate.

Hi! Happy Monday!

We had such a beautiful weekend. Fall when it is at it’s best. We took a long walk yesterday and I wish I had brought my camera, the colors are magnificent. Love this time of year!

But no fall cards today, instead I’m on my Christmas card mission. Prickley Pear has released a gorgeous new Clear stamp set called Victorian Ornaments. Not only does it contain beautiful ornaments, the sentiments are awesome. A new favorite for sure. :) And it has a coordinated Victorian Ornaments Die too.

Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge!!!

Hi folks! Happy Saturday! It’s another beautiful fall day here in Värmland, Sweden. The sun is just about to go up and the frost is shimmering in the light. It’s magical. Wish I could share!

I adore this Vintage Angel! And she was super fun to color. I used my Distress inks for this one. And isn’t the sentiment wonderful? The little lovebirds are also totally cute. I used one pair on the front and another for the inside.

Prickley Pear Monday

Hi! It’s a beautiful Monday here, it started with rain, but wow what a beautiful fall afternoon we’ve had! :) I love fall if it’s not too windy and too much rain (which it often is…) Anyway, I have a Prickley Pear project to share today. I’ve pimped my inspiration book, the one I have by my computer.

I painted both front and back with Gesso to cover the original covers. Couldn’t live without Gesso!. :) The papers are all from Glitz Design. Yummy!

I stamped the edges of my patterned paper randomly with the Border Flourish stamp. It’s a favorite. I haven’t used it since I did 50 invitations for a party a year ago, I think I was a tid bit tired… but it’s all gone now. The sentiment is from the Clearly Beautiful Cardinal set and the Dragonfly from the Clearly Beautiful Dragonflies set.

The Scalloped Circle Die is another favorite. :)

Hi! Happy Sunday! It’s early morning here and it’s still dark outside. I’ve lit my first morning fire for the season and the temperature are below 0 degrees. A hot cup of tea and a free day ahead. It’s REALLY cosy! :)

Hi! I have a couple of Christmas cards to share today, using the Christmas Cheer Collection.

The first one is made with some fabbie new Riddersholm Design papers, love the purple, white and red combo! The stamp sets used are the HCPC 3417 Poinsettia Ornament 2 PreCut Set and the HCPC 3428 Script Christmas Tree PreCut Set.

And my second card in red and green. I love this dove from the HCPC 3421 Dove of Peace PreCut Set - a perfect match to the HCD 715 Christmas Cheer Die. The background is stamped with HCPC 3427 Herald Angels Background PreCut Set. The black decorative edges are made with the amazing HCD 713 Decorative Lace Border Die.

More Halloween Fun!

Happy Tuesday! I have a couple of cards using some new red rubber from Prickley Pear to share today. Both very much Halloweenish. :) First up is a card with the Pumpkin Ghost stamp teamed up with the Circles Clear Stamp Set Fall and the Scalloped Circle Die.

New Echo Park papers I picked up at the Expo this weekend. Yay! :) The image is stamped with StazOn on photo paper. It gives a great shine and it feels almost like a photo (were it not for all the dust that stick to the ink before it dried – next time I’ll clean my scraproom before I use this technique!). I’ve used this fabbie sketch by Chupa:

Here is another one with the same technique, but with a different stamp (loooove these new stamps, sooo cool, and perfect for quick cards – me like!). It’s called Hallowen Greeting.

This card is based on this weeks sketch from CPS.

My break is up. :) :) :) Now I’m off doing something I’ve never ever done before and that I’m really scared about even though it’s silly. If I manage, I’ll grow. If I don’t I hope the damages wont be to big…

I’ve spent the last couple of days with cleaning, rebooting and changing to Firefox and wohooo, FINALLY it seems to work again. I thought I was going crazy. Anyway. New life starts today, now I just have to learn that freaking Firefox…

Hi folks! Do you feel the Christmas Spirits already? I do when I lock myself up in my craft room and put on the Christmas play list on Spotify and dig out all the new fabbie Christmas themed stamps and papers. I can almost feel the scent of ginger and saffron. :) :) :)

My project for Heartfelt Creations this week is a Christmas cards stationary. Simple but nice and a perfect gift when you go to one of all the Christmas parties.

Hi! Happy Monday! Where did that weekend go? I had so much I planned to do but I ended up mostly running around and carrying wood. You wouldn’t believe the pile we had on our front yard when I started… You wouldn’t believe the pain in my b*t today…

The catching up with my blogging friends didn’t happen. Again. I’m working on it. :) :) :)

What did happen was making a layout for my DT post over at Scrap-Perra’s. My year with Scrap Perra is coming to an end, I’ll post my last project next week. It’s been great! They are having a DT Call out right now so if you live in Sweden and want to work with the nicest people around, hurry up and apply. All info HERE.

Over to my project. This month I’ve been creating with AMAZING Et Cetera papers from Bo Bunny. A perfect fit to these photos from the Gothic Quarters in Barcelona. Vintage… LOL!

And I used the same line of papers for last week’s DT project. I never found the time to blog it, but now seems like a good time to do it. It’s with photos from my birthday last weekend.

LESSology Challenge #2 - The Trinket Box

Hi! Here is my first project for the LESSology challenge blog. The challenge is to make a trinket box and upcycle something. FUN!

I used a few match boxes (I have a ton of empty match boxes and that is now before the dark season has begun for real!) to make a box card with four drawers.

I glued them down on a piece of cardboard and covered the sides with patterned paper. Then I made a “card” the size of the box and then simply adhered it on top when done. Easy peasy.

I’ve used the FAB new papers Chantilly Dawn from Riddersholm Design for this project. The bird is fuzzy cut from one of the papers. LOVE this line! :)

I plan to write a little message to the recipient on the inside. Decorated with patterned paper and a fabbie Cheery Lynn swirl.

Wow! What a week! What a weekend!!!

I could get used to turning 40.

But my boy told me yesterday that it was an once in a lifetime experience and I should really make the most of it. So I did. My family and friends helped by pampering me with love, cake and presents. ♥♥♥ And I realized (once again) that my boy is not only cute, he is pretty smart too… :)

Now over to some scrappy business.

Release Party Day 3

Welcome back for our final day of New Release Celebration. We hope you have enjoyed it so far!

. Today we are showcasing the final three sets: Holly and Berries Clear Stamps Set, Birdcage Winter 2 Clear Stamp Set and Ornaments Set 2.

I don’t have any of these sets to play with. I got a set for next month’s release, so it will have to wait. And it is soooo worth waiting for! :) :) :) So, instead I’ve made a card with the Circles Fall Set and the Oak and Maple Leaf Set and a tid bit of a tutorial. I’ve received questions about getting the stamped image and die to work perfectly together. I’ll show you how I do that. But first the card:

Darling cat. Both cute but also a little, I don’t know, demanding? I simply loooove the leafs. And check out the paper. It’s new Riddersholm Design Fall papers´- Chantilly Dawn.

I’ve used this fabbie sketch for the Shaped Sketch Challenge in the Moxie Fab World:

This is how I use the stamps and dies:

1: When I first use the die I use it once on a scrap cardstock piece to make a mask. I save the negative piece I get from running it through my Grand Calibur. I then store it with my die so I can use it over and over again.

2. Stamp. And then place the mask over it and make sure it looks good. Then adhere it with a piece of removable tape to hold the template on place over the stamped image.

3. Place the die in the mask’s hole. Make sure you get a perfect fit and adhere it with a piece of removable tape and then run it through the die cut machine.

4. Done!

Since it’s clear stamps you could die cut first and then stamp, but if you want to be sure of a perfect result, this one is easier and safer. And once you’ve got the mask, it’s not much extra work. :)

PPRS New Release Day 2

Hi! Welcome back to the second day of the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps’ celebration of the new release!

I’ve had a wonderful stamp set and new die to work with today – The Oak and Maple Leaf Clear Stamp Set and Die. Both stamps and die will be included in the big prize pack that will be given to one participant at the end of the celebration. All you have to do to have a chance on the prize is leave a comment!!!!

The leaves are stamped with Distress Ink and clear embossed and then cut out with the die. It’s a perfect fit and I love how crisp the stamped image is!

I used one of the Maple leafs to decorate the inside. I triple stamped it, giving the three leafs different shades of the same color.

My second project is a box made from the very good tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers. It was really easy to make following the instructions. You can find it here.

I’ve also done it for the Featured Stamper challenge, and the featured stamper this week happens to be my HC DT bud Lisa Lynn, so I had to play. And I totally love THIS box of her so I decided to make one of my own. And here is the result:

The box is stamped with Oak leafs from the Clear stamp set and then clear embossed. I then went over it all with Distress stain – old paper and vintage photo. I also stamped and diecut several leafs to have as decoration. The Sentiment is also from the Oak and Maple Leafs Set, while the frame is from the Circles Fall Set.

Prickley Pear New Release Party!!!

Hi folks!!!! Happy Saturday!!!

Welcome to the celebration of the release of 10 new Clear Stamp Sets and 4 new dies from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The party will be filled with loads of inspiration on the DT blogs and a big giveaway for three days. One happy participant will win four of the new clear stamp sets and four coordinated dies. All you have to do is leave a comment on each of the participating blogs and tell us what you think about the new release. The winner will be drawn randomly at one of the four blogs, one of the days and will be presented here on Wednesday.

The sets we are showcasing today are: The Scary Cat & Bat Set, Pumpkin Set 2 and the Circles Set Fall and I’ve had the pleasure of working with the latter two.

First up is a simple card using the Circles Set Fall and the Scalloped Circle Die.

It’s super simple, but I love the lacey and swirly effect from the die and the swirly tails of the cats and the bling.

I’ve used another circle stamp from the same set to decorate a scalloped border on the light holder. And isn’t the little scull actually totally CUTE??? :)

The pumpkin on the match box is from the Pumpkins Set 2.

Last card is also with the Pumpkins Set 2 combined with the coordinated Pumpkin Die. It contains not only a pumpkin shape but also a leaf. I used both.

I stamped the pumpkin and leafs on smooth cardstock and cut them out with the die. The pumkin is colored in with Distress ink Wild Honey and Vintage Photo. The background is made with the Solid Leaf ATC stamp (red wonderful rubber) which also got a coat of Distress inks. Love that stuff! :)

TGIF!!! Just saying!!!

A lot of fun things are happening at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps at the moment. First there is a Design Team Call up – They are looking for 6 designers who will be working with totally amazing PPRS products – red rubber, clear stamps and dies!!!!! YAY! So, HERE are all the details about the gig, and I hope you will apply!!!!

Secondly, last weekend Prickley Pear released 10 (!!!) new clear stamp sets and 4 new dies, and also a lot of new red rubber. So this weekend we are celebrating the release with a Release Party and big give away!!!! Hope you will join us. It all starts tomorrow!!!!

Today, I’m starting the celebration a little early by using one of my favorite stamp sets from previous releases (nope, not the Hibiscus). :) :) :)

It’s the Birdcage with the coordinated Birdcage Die. Super duper gorgeous. I teamed them up with some beautiful K&Company papers. In my favorite colors. Yummy! Check out the satin ribbon, I only had a white one in my stash, but I went over it with Weathered wood Distress Stains and it turned out simply perfect. Love that distress stain stuff!!!! Need more!!!

Card Patterns Sketch 131

Happy Saturday! I can’t express in words how happy I am that it is finally weekend. We had a messy, busy, crazy first week with more students than we’ve had in many years. Super fun, but boy was I wiped out yesterday night when work week was finally over. Today I’ll spend all day with cleaning, scrapbooking and playing Wordfeud. Scrapbooking and Wordfeud are both very addictive. Cleaning not so much… :)

Saturday means a new super duper fun sketch from Card Patterns. LOOOOVE this one (as I always do, but anyway!).

The stamps are from a brand new Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Clear stamp set. Me likey!

Here is a close up. The circle stamps of this set are a perfect fit for the Dies Direct nested circles and the Scalloped Circle die from Prickley Pear. I also stamped the circle stamp repeatedly on the scalloped edge die. Fun!

Usually I write my blog posts in Windows live writer, but it's not available from where I am right now (ehmmmm). And Blogger is driving me nuts. I can't preview my post. Wonderful Lego

I made a layout this weekend using my fabbie August Cocoa Daisy kit. The photos are of my son visiting heaven, aka Lego corner at Toys R Us. He could spend hours and hours there, if only his mama would let him…

But I do think Lego is the best toy ever (alongside with the ball) and I’m happy he still enjoys his own collection and plays both on his own and with friends with it. Wonder how long it will last.

A good thing with a super rainy weekend is that one does not have to mow the lawn. More scrap time! Here is a card I did with my new fab Paris Nights Background from The Rubber Café. I’ve been dying to ink this one up since I got it a couple of weeks ago. Yummy!!!

My Signature Style…

…what would that be??? I honestly didn’t have a clue, but sat down, made a card to try find out and this is how it came out.

Ribbon, lace, pearls and clear embossing powder.

I think the matting of the design elements on black cardstock is pretty much “me”. I often use my lovely Prickley Pear stamps (heat embossed!!!), stich on my cards and use a lot of distress ink. A clean design and ribbons and/or lace are often found on my cards. So I guess this might be my signature style. What do you think???? I’m entering this in CASE Study’s Signature challenge. It was a FUN one!!!

I got my August Cocoa Daisy kit almost two weeks ago, but I haven’t had time to dig into it until last night. And wow, it was a gooooood one! I love the combo of colors! So worth waiting for! :) I decided to go for the August Sketch Challenge over at the Cocoa Daisy Forum and make a layout for our Barcelona album (that is coming together nicely!!!).

My boy bought a fan from a street salesman and he loooved it. Not only did it give comfort in hot spaces (like in the metro stations!!!) and out in the sun, it was an excellent way to hinder dear mom to take photos… Gaahhhhh. Well, I could take photos of the fan…

Happy Wednesday! I woke up to a beautiful sunny day. The fall is almost here, really early, but I love these days with blue sky and high clear and a little cold air. So refreshing!

Card Patterns #128 and a Window of Opportunity

Hi! What a weekend. It didn’t turn out quite as I had planned (which is a mild understatement). Let’s just say the crop was a no show from my side. :( On the other hand, I had some fun mileage with the best bunch of gals around! ♥♥♥ Thank you for everything!!!!

Here is my take on the Card Patterns sketch for this week. It’s one of my favorites so far. Totally fun and easy!

The sponsor is Sparkle Creations (rubber stamps) and I got darling Bicycle Chloe to play with.

I’ve colored her with my Copics and I think I’m slowly starting to get the hang of it. So much FUN! Can you tell I got new tag dies…

Living Statues

Here is a new CAS layout with photos from beautiful Barcelona. We spent one day on and around La Rambla and one of the fun things there was the living statues. Totally AMAZING!

I used the beautiful Authentique papers I got in my DT kit from Scrap-Perra. These papers are wonderful. Just saying!!!! I used this fabbie sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

Now I’m off for a loooong day. First super important all day conference and THEN…. off to Järfälla/Stockholm and Scrap-Perra’s CROP tomorrow!!!! YAY!

Prickley Pear Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday folks! As this is posted I’m on my way to this year’s work kick off at a spa in an 18th century mansion. I like the idea of this kick off… :) I also like the fact that Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps launches it’s third monthly sketch challenge today.
Here is the sketh.

I loved the sketch, but in my creative process I strayed a little…

But the main elements are all there! :)

I inked up the Girl with basket stamp and colored her with Copics. The hearts are die cut with the Heart Key Crown Die and the lovely sentiment is from the Spring Scalloped Circles clear stamp set.

I’m so thankful for the fact it’s finally Friday afternoon. I’ve had a serious crafting itch the last couple of days and no time to do anything about it. But I did today - the boy is over with friends and dinner will be served later sooooo I headed to my craft table as soon as I quit work. YAY! :) :) :) And ended up making a CAS card for the combined CAS-ual Fridays and Clean and Simple Stamping challenge.

Summer Junk Reading

What a beautiful summer day we’ve had today! Hope the sun and warmth will stay until Thursday when we are going to a water amusement park with my brother and his family. FUN! (And much more so if it doesn’t rain!).

Today’s layout is about my summer reading. I’m such a junk reader at summers… Lots and lots of easy read fiction books in the Hammock. It’s a compensation for all the work related reading I do rest of the year. I think. :)

I had a lot of fun making this layout, misting, stamping and using super fun colors. All the papers and some of the embellies are from the June Cocoa Daisy kit. Here are a couple of close ups.

Lots of diecuts on this one. Circles and inverted scallop circles from Dies Direct, Super Cute Owls from Prickley Pear, Banners and Doily die from PTI and Heart from Provo Craft. I used this fab sketch from Sketch Support.

The back of the yellow striped paper on the layout was soooo fab and I got some pieces left so I had to use it for a card. I’m quite into Chocolate, but I’m trying to stay clear. Instead I’m feeding my surrounding… :)

I simply loooove Lindt’s dark chocolate with almonds. Hope my neighbor likes it too! Isn’t the sassy piece of patterned paper wonderful!?!. Bird and birdcage die are from Prickley Pear, the edge die is from Heartfelt Creations. Here is the inside.

Nothing fancy, but I like how it turned out clean and nice. I might stamp a sentiment too, but I couldn’t decide… LOL!

Chocolate Treat Card

Hiiii! I had such a great weekend and I hope you all did too! I don’t know when I last got so much done, mostly house related but also some crafting. AND reading (some wonderful junk literature!). My men were away camping so I guess that’s one of the secrets behind it all…

Today’s card is filled with chocolate and has a wonderful dog stamp from Prickley Pear on the front. I simply love this Springer!!! Isn’t it sweet!!!!

Flowers and flower dies are also from Prickley Pear – the Flowers clear stamp set and coordinated Die.

I wrapped the chocolate bars in patterned paper and stamped some, and finished it off with some pearl Paper Pen dots.

The window is made with the Dies Direct Inverted Scalloped dies (love how it becomes scallopes when used as a frame like that!) and as window I use a sheet of gelatin.

Sentiment stamp is called Memory Becomes Treasure and the heart is from Heart Key Crown set and die cut with the coordinated Die.
