Feature Friday–You’re amazing

Hi! Let me just say T.G.I.F!!!! :)

I’m sharing a card for Skipping Stones Design’s Feature Friday today. I pulled out the ah-mazing Victorian Summer set and stamped away. I simply adore this flower. It’s so full of details and was super fun to work with.

Feature Friday october 1

The flower and butterfly are heat embossed and layered. And I added some pearls for some extra flair.

All the papers are from Riddersholm Design, the new line A Christmas Story.  The polka dot paper is one of my favorites!

Feature Friday october 2

I used this lovely sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp.

Thank you all for the sweet comments on my Heartfelt post from yesterday. It warmed my heart and sure made my day!!! You are the best! ♥♥♥

And thank you for stopping by today! Have a fantastic Friday!!!!!

Heartfelt Crations ♥♥♥

Hi all! I’m having such a great day today! :) Wanted to share! :)

But first - If you are here for my Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog hop post, you find it HERE.

I woke up this morning to a wonderful mail from Heartfelt Creations telling me I’m one of the semi finalists for the Heartfelt Creations Design Team. Wohoo! I served one term with this fabulous company in 2011 and back then I was in a situation where I couldn’t reapply  - I’ve missed it every since. So now I’m hoping that I’ll once again be able to work with their products which I looooove!!! :) There is a voting process going on, so I’m sharing the projects I submitted for the call for you to see. And if you like it, I’d love to have your vote. :)

First up is a box and card set using Botanical Floral 1 and Botanical Floral 2 with the coordinated Spellbinders dies Rose Creations Shapeabilities and a sentiment from the Inspire Me Sentiments Pre Cut Set.

Next is a little cute card using the Decorative Basket PreCut Set, Woven Basket PreCut Set, Decorated Layered Basket Die and Posy Patch Die.

I totally adore The Decorative Basket Collection and have every since release day. And this is the card I did for the release blog post over at Heartfelt Creations so I thought it was a good piece to submit for my application.

The third card I submitted is without Heartfelt Products, but it’s a recent favorite and a good representative of my style.

These were my submissions.

If you like what you see you can vote for me – Therése Broman – over at Heartfelt Creations Blog!

Thank you for visiting my blog and letting me share my happy news!

Linda Payne

Now over to my card. It’s ages since I last did an easel and it was ages since I last used my favorite flower of all times – The Flora Grande 1. I adore this flower, and the sheer size of the biggest one in the set makes it perfect as a 4 x 4 card base.

Thank God...1

Supplies: Rubber Stamps: Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3375 Flora Grande 1 PreCut Set, HCPC 3374 Flora Grande 2 PreCut Set, HCPC 3392 Bella Rose House PreCut Set and HCPC 3363 Inspire Me Sentiments PreCut Set. Ink: Versa Fine Onyx Black. Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper. Paper: Crate Papers. Dies: Heartfelt Creations Decorative Layered Basket Die, Spellbinders Fancy Tags 2. Embellishments: Pearls from Prima.

Here is a close up. The wings are stamped, heat embossed and cut out from vellum.

Thank God 2

I’m really happy about how this little card came out. A bit chocked by all the pink maybe, but the flower worked well as a base for the card. I stamped and heat embossed the largest Flora Grande and cut out. I used it as template for the inside piece before gluing it down on black cardstock and cut out. Then I used that piece as template for the card base. Done. :)

And now it’s about time to hop over to Linda to check out her amazing creation. Don’t forget to leave a comment to increase your chance to win!

Vintage Wall Hanger

Hi folks!

Happy Monday! I have a special project to share today. Since this is my last post as a Prickley Pear Design Team member I thought I’d dig out my favorite stamps from the past three years and have some serious fun. :)

Clean my kitchen 1

I ended up using Hibiscus 2 Clear Stamps Set and 50s Lady. (In close competition with Vine Flourish, Oak and Maple Leaf Clear Stamps Set and Mini Birds Clear Stamps Set). :)

Clean my kitchen 2

I’m entering this in the Movement Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. I have a very clear eye route when looking on it, hope you do to, not finding it to busy! :)

I’m off to work in a bit and I’m super nervous. Me and my co worker are going to present the project we are working on for the University Board this morning. I’ll be happy when it’s over. Wish me good luck!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Christmas Cards

‘Hi! Happy Saturday!!! Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I will start enjoying mine in a few hours, after I’m done with cleaning the house. I so not like cleaning. It might come as a chock, but I do prefer making cards. :)

Riddersholm Design has released new fabulous winter papers A Christmas Story that comes both in full size and as 6x6 paper pad. I’m so happy about the new paper pads, I like the smaller size patterns when making cards. The colors of this new line is AMAZING! Check it out!

Friends...1

I so love the colors and the soft patterns tone in tone. The flower is a white Ink It Cherry Blosson that I colored with a mix of Aged Mahogany and Vintage Photo and water (and some glitter for the shine!). I experimented until the tone was right to go with the paper. Once happy with it I saved the mist for future use on coming projects with these papers and flowers.

Friends...2

The stamps are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The sentiment is called Gift of the Season and the hexagon snowflake (which is a favorite of mine!) is from the Clearly Beautiful Ornament Set.

I used this lovely sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday.

Next card is using the same paper pad as the first one. Couldn’t put it down, once I started… :)

Ljus 1

The stamp is a new red rubber release from Prickley Pear. They will be up shortly in the web shop.

Ljus 2

I played some with stickles and glossy accents to make the light and berries pop.

For this card I used Freshly Made Sketches #53. It’s a great one!

I’m also blogging these cards over at The Prickley Pear Blog. I’m stepping down after three years and it feels a little strange. I’ll have my last blog post with PPRS up on Monday.  :)

150 years celebration

October will be a festive month in our family. My dad turns 70 and my mother in law 80. Soooo, we're going to throw them a 150 years celebration weekend. Where we're going is a surprise and since my mom reads my blog on occasion... Anyway, here are the invitation cards we sent them.

Du fyller r 2

I used my all time favorite color combo - blue, brown, creme. Perfect for both ladies and gents. I'm also happy to say that I used all scraps!!!

The design is based on  Jen's Deconstructed Sketch #69.
I totally LOVE this sketch!!!

Back to work! :)

Cheers! It’s a Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop!

Hi!!!
We are celebrating the new release Cheers! with a Blog Hop showing off this fab set that is soooo funny but also elegant and oh so versatile. I’ll go with the more elegant theme today, but be sure to find some hilarious sentiments if you hop with us!!! (I’ll use them later…).
If you came from Rochelle’s blog you’re right on track, if not you might want to start from the beginning over at Skipping Stones Design.
Ok, so, here is my card. I love Martinis. I can’t drink them anymore due to my migraine, but I remember the taste, the feel of luxury (being a student everything except an occasional beer was luxury!) and the olives. Yummy!!! And I had a partner in crime when came to martinis. And she is a lucky duck cause she can still enjoy them… And in two weeks when she receives this, she can also enjoy this. :)Happy Birthday 3
I cut out the martini glass from the background stamp, mounted it on a glittery Prima Chip Board with some 3D foam and added a ribbon and a Spellbinders die (it’s new, got it last week, loooove it!).
Happy Birthday 2
I stamped the background stamp on the inside of the card, masking off parts of it. Hope she gets the message!
And here is the sketch of the week, designed by our amazing guest Kim Kesti!!! Hope you will play with us! All info on the Skipping Stones Design Blog!
SSD Sketch 146
Next stop on the hop is Kim Kesti herself!!! She will have something fantastic in store for you!

You Make Me Smile

Hi!

Thursday. I started this fine day with a tour around blog land and I’m so inspired!!! I wish I didn’t have to go to work… Oh well, in ten hours… (or maybe 13 since shopping, dinner, the dishes and homework will be prioritized on today’s schedule). :) I have new stamps!!!! YAY!!!!

I’m blogging over at The Rubber Cafe this week using Steampunk and Fabulous Phrases. I went a little crazy with the layers. But it was fun!

You make me smile

The papers are LilyBee design, flower from Prima and some ribbon and tag from a Cocoa Daisy kit. This ribbon is awesome, wish I had more!!!

I’m entering this card in Moxie Fab World’s Tuesday Trigger Challenge. Check this amazing trigger out!!!

I love the green and blue combo. I didn’t have the bright nuances, but I did ad some bright mist to spice up the colors a bit. And I was also inspired by the fashion flair and bows of the shoes!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!!!!

You are the music in me…

Hi!
Skipping Stones Design has a new fab sketch up today, by the amazing Kim Kesti.
SSD Sketch 145
Here is my take on it:
SSD145
I used the beautiful Heartsong 2 set. I inked up smooth white cardstock with distress inks in cotton candy and peeled paint and stamped and heat embossed the roses while the inks were still wet. That gives a beautiful glass surface (though totally impossible to photograph in a good way).
You are the music 3
Hope you will play with us! You don’t need to use SSD stamps!!! You find the challenge and amazing samples from the Guest Designers and the Team HERE.

Christmas Card Season…

…has officially begun at my place. I got some delicious new red rubber with winter/Christmas themes from Prickley Pear to work with this month. At once I started to make these cards, I realized just how much I’ve missed it!

Isn’t this scenery just wonderful?

night before C 1

I colored the image (which will be released soon) with Distress inks, except for the sky which is colored with metallic gelato which gives it a wonderful shine (which I couldn’t capture on the photo). Then I added some snow pen over the snow parts and it gives a fluffy snowy look.

night before 2

To make it all shimmer a bit Christmas-y I misted the whole thing with glimmer mist.

I used the new sketch from CPS for my card:

For more inspiration using Prickley Pear rubber stamps, be sure to visit the blog. The Team is AMAZING! Can’t believe our term is up by the end of September! There is a Design Team Call going on, check it out HERE!

Just Because

HI!

Here is a quick card I did earlier today between work and cleaning. :) I love a scrappy break now and again… :)

Just Because

I used some yummy MME in pastels and a fishtail banner stamp from Cocoa Daisy. Sentiment Just Because is from Prickley Pear, just like the Mini Butterflies Die. Both banners and sentiment are heat embossed to fit this week’s CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

The design is based on this fabbie sketch from Try Stampin’ On Tuesday.

Back to business. Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

A dog’s philosophy…

Hi! Happy Saturday!!!

Hope you are enjoying a good weekend! I am so far. I started it with a long walk to reboot my brain after a super crazy week. I saw two roe deer on a field where the fairies were dancing. A magic moment. I love early mornings this time a year with all the fog and high air and bright colors. ♥♥♥

The crazy week explains my lack of blogging, blog hopping and card making… But I intend to catch this weekend. :)

Yesterday was happy mail day! I got new FAB stamps from Skipping Stones Design and I spent the morning after my walk with inking them up. So much fun! Here is a first using Dogs vol. 1. My co worker is getting a puppy later this month, a French Bulldog (I ADORE them!!!) and I thought I’d remember him what awaits… :) :) :)

A dog's 2

Skipping Stones Design is having a Buy 3 get 1 Free promotional week until Friday 14th… just saying… :)

I used this great sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

I’ll head back to my craft room. Thanks for stopping by!

Remember this moment

Hi!!! Happy Saturday!!!

I have a winner of my favorite fall stamp set (and more)!!! But first I’ll share the card I did this morning.

remember

I seldom do cards without stamping at least a sentiment, but this one is an exception. I pulled out some old Pink Paislee papers and remember why when I got them I hoarded instead of used them… They are really lovely. A prima flower and some die cut leafs and tag and finally a rub on sentiment from Kaiserkraft. Done.

I used the round sketch from Mojo Monday.

And I’m entering it Simon Say’s Anything Goes Challenge.

Ok, so, it’s down to business!

Random.org has made the selection and Olga, you just got yourself a little pack of stamps and die! :) Congratulations! Please mail me your addy and I’ll have it in the mail right away. (tesabroman at yahoo dot com)

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
