Happy Friday!

We took an early day from work today to celebrate the last remnants of a beautiful autumn. November is soon here and that usually means all darkness, rain and dirt… Well, not today. We (son and me) are off for a walk in the sun, but I thought I’d blog a couple of cards first.Missing you The first one is for an old friend who I haven’t seen or heard from in ages. I thought a card might help me change that in a near future. The lady’s got style, so an elegant Chandelier might cheer her up, right!  Chandelier stamp is from Prima and sentiment from PTI.

Second card is another try with the Halloween theme, using some Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps transparency and stamps.Halloween 1I did this one for 365 cards Day 244 – transparency challenge. I’ve used an ATC transparency, a clear button and some dew drops.

I wish you a beautiful weekend!

Some Thank you cards - again

Well, the thank you cards are finally coming to an end. I only have a few more to complete. The challenges help me keep going. This first card is inspired by the Papertake Weekly Spots’n Stripes challenge.Tack #3  This is another one of the cute hÄnglar sheet I got at the fair last weekend. Striped dress! LOL! Tack #4This one is made for The Pink Elephant - Black, distressed and hardware challenge.  I’ve tried the technique with stamping in hot Utee, and the effect is really, really cool!Tack #4 detalj The flourish stamp is from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, and I took tons of photos to make the effect show, but this is the best I could do. Sad, I know. Need to take some photo lessons! Like learning how to use the Macro or something.

Thanks for stopping by!

Penguins anyone?

My friend Suss is hosting a Christmas Card Challenge HERE. The task is to make the card not using the traditional green and red color scheme. That’s fun and it made me look for the beautiful blue papers from Maja Design. I never used them last year because I fell so much in love with the Wassail papers that I never came around putting them away. I’m not cured, but I do use other Holiday papers on occasion nowadays…Christmas 3The stamps are all from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  Isn’t the penguins too cute! I coated them with some Glossy Accent. The swirl is a half of a fantastic stamp named Penguin Flourish and you can see it in full splendor (lol) HERE. Christmas 3 detalj The card is based on a beautiful and fun sketch from Get Sketchy. And I’m sorry about the bad photos. Simply can’t get the colors to show properly. The pink stones go totally nuts if I try to edit it in PS.

Have a lovely day!

The Christmas Season is here…

…or rather so - the new stamps for this year. YAY!!!  Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps sent me a batch of fantastic red rubber last week which I will happily play with the weeks to come. They are truly beautiful!

Christmas 1I started working with the Partridge in a Tree stamp.  It was love at first sight – so full of details and so fun coloring. Eh, ok, I went a little nuts when I came to the Partridge… Let’s say it’s a very, very special Partridge to go with the Basic Grey paper… Tehee.

Christmas 1 detalj Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey, DCWV. Stamps; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress Ink. Tombow pens.

I hope you will have a beautiful Tuesday!

Thank you card #8

I’m making thank you cards. Lot’s of them. And I’m starting to think, that I might not be able to do them all. I will have to buy some… Haven’t bought a card in ages, but I guess it’s time.

Here is the latest. Based on this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch. The sketch is great - as always!

Tack 5 I also included a pin with pearls to meet up with day 240 challenge at 365 cards. The papers are Basic Grey (of course… LOL) and the amazing stamps are Artistic OutpostBluebird collection.

Wish you a happy Monday!

Two more cards

I got the coolest stamp set (Women in Character) from FCD this month to play with as my DT mission. With some really cool sentiments. LOVE THEM! My favorite is the Meekness one (used in the card below), and I’ve been saving it for a special card that finally came together today. I have this really good revenge in mind, and I thought that my victim should get a fair warning. Muahhhawwahhhaaa….

Tesa Oct05 I’ve used the fab sketch of the week at Sketch Saturday aaaand my new yummy Basic Grey papers. I’m in love. Again. LOL! And when I had them on my desk, I simply had to do another, with some of the other papers in the Nook and Pantry line.

Tesa Oct05-1 Tesa Oct05out I have quite a few Thank you cards to make. 7 is done, still got like 30 to make… This card is made for 365 cards Super Sketchy Sunday challenge. Great sketch as always, and this week, the DT is having a really great Blog Hop. You should check it out. HERE.

That’s all for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Another birthday card

I had a wonderful time at the Scrapbook fair yesterday. I got lost in the stamps, the inks, the papers, the bling… And I cursed my restricted budget… But I did for sure get me some goodies. A sheet of cute hÄnglar stamps, Basic Grey papers, Stick’n peel (wow, that stuff is GREAT!!!) and some other things. I used one of my new stamps for the birthday card for today’s party.

HannaThe design is based on the sketch at Stamps and Smiles and the sketch made me think about the pop up card I did a while ago. So I did another one.

Hanna2 365 cards had a challenge using five or more stamps earlier this week. I had to try that. I masked the hÄngel and a frame from Prima. Then I used two swirl stamps from Stämpelgården and a clear stamp from Fancy Pants as decoration. That makes five. It was fun.

I’ll be back with another card later today.

Till then, have a great Sunday!

Birthday parties…

…all the time! This weekend we have two, and my son is in heaven. I totally surprised my dear hubby by volunteering driving him to the party today (which is in town, half an hour drive from here). Little did he know that there is also a scrapbook fair in town this weekend. Tehee! I’m in heaven too!!!

This is the card I did for today’s party. I used the FANTASTIC journaling cards and transparencies from Basic Grey that I got as a challenge prize from Puman the other day. THANK YOU CHICK!!! (I also got some yummy green pearl maker (love it!), brads and bling. It was FANTASTIC!).

The card is based upon the sketch of the week at Friday Sketchers. Loved it! And I’ve used twine to bind the journaling card and transparency together. Using twine is the challenge at 365 cards today.

Pontus It was difficult getting a decent photo of it, the transparency gives this shine…. Oh well. I’m off for the scrapbook fair. Still in heaven! LOL!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Happy and proud

They are both Halloween and Fall themed, and could be used either way. They are one of the three lines included in the A Page in Time October Kit. Oct Challenge 1 Everything  is included in the kit except the brads and pearls. The glittery swirl is from Fancy pants and is totally gorgeous!

There is also a CROP coming up in the near future. Check this out!!!

My Hubby – a PhD!

Blommor 1

We had the most awesome day this Friday. My Hubby defended his dissertation in a great constructive discussion and got fantastic wordings about his research. I am so proud!!! We celebrated with a party that night with family, friends and colleagues. A new phase in the family has started! YAY!

Anders 7 - med blommorHe got the most amazing gifts and lots of flowers. I had a gift too, of course.  I thought that he’d have some things that would let him enjoy his new life as a free man, stuff that he would be able to use when lying on the sofa, relaxing, looking at me working hard with my dissertation. LOL!  (With the notion that he’d only be able to relax for a month or so, after that, he will be forced to take care of EVERYTHING around our house… ) Instead of bringing the presents, I gave him a coupon book.

Mitt hjärta 1  Mitt hjärta 3Mitt hjärta 4 Mitt hjärta 5Mitt hjärta 6  Mitt hjärta 2He loves goood chocolate, single malt and music. So that’s what I gave him.  (And sorry for the colors, the orange totally goes crazy in the photos. Not really the way it looks in real life…).

Well, today I’m trying to recover. I had a migraine that started on Tuesday and finally let go yesterday morning even though I had slept like 2 hours... In time for the clean up of the party scene. LOL! I’m thanking God for good friends and fantastic family that helped me through the party with all the work, organizing and stuff. It ended up to be really nice and fun for my hubby. And that’s what counts!

A couple of tips:

Feeling like a Blog Hop? There is one FCD hop going on right now with loads of autumn and mesh inspiration, a PRIZE and a discount on fantastic RUBBER. You can start HERE.

Fall themed FCD Blog Hop!

It’s time for another Firecracker Designs Blog Hop. All the details about the hop can be found further down in this post. The theme this month is Fall and using Mesh. Well, I found the most adorable fall themed papers from Bo Bunny with a lovely pink and orange combination that is perfect form my Tickled Pink Lady. LOL!

Tesa Oct04The set I’m working with this month is Woman in Character and it is so much fun. The possibilities are endless. This one is made with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in mind.

Over to some important information about the Hop:

The official start time of this Hop is Friday, at 8:00 AM (EST). If you arrived early, please be patient as all the links may not be live yet.

This is a “circular blog hop” where the only beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of your blog hop when you’ve come back to the blog you’ve started from! (It’s not a huge circle…so it should be easy to remember where you started.)

The winner will be chosen from a mystery blog hostess that we don’t even know who it will be until the hop is over…so that’s why you’ll want to leave a comment on EVERY blog, so you don’t miss out!

**To find out if you’ve won… you will be contacted by Pamela via e-mail (so be sure to leave it with your comment.) and you can also find out on Pamela’s blog after the blog hop ends on Mon, at 8:00 PM (EST).**

Now, to continue the circle, you will need to hop on over to

KARYN

and keep going until you’ve come back to where you’ve started! Thanks so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time!

Sketchy Sunday

The 365 cards sketch was a tough one! Fun but tough! I played simple and used one of my favorite Halloween stamps, the charming Kitty.

Charming #2I also got a question about the inside tag in the toilet paper holder card I did earlier today (in THIS post). So here it is.

Toarulle Better get back to the kitchen, I’m actually making dinner.

Early Sunday Morning

…means time by my scrap desk. This morning I've been making a couple of cards for JP Hobby October Festival. The first one was a go green challenge – using empty toilet paper holders. There is one amazing entrance in that challenge already. Check THIS out. And my brain is simply not that creative. I went with a simple “toarullekort”. LOL! Sometimes translations just wont do.

2009 okt 10_3581_redigerad-1The stamps are from Firecracker Designs , Women in Character set. The papers are from Dreem Street.

The second challenge was to make a Christmas card which is not a square or rectangle.

Julkort #3 Well, sometimes the idea is better than the result. LOL! I do love the Eskimo Kisses papers though!!!

And some good news! I won Puman’s Bloggparty Challenge with this one. It made my day!

Have a lovely Sunday. I’m going to clean my windows. Whoever want to feel sorry for me, is welcome to do so!

A not very nice LO and a card

My very dear Hubby laughed at me when he saw the misspelled title of my latest layout. And he got my very dear Son going too. I’m a revenge kind of gal. Heheheee. Soooo I gathered two of my fav silly pics of them from our visit at the water tower in Örebro, a building also known as The Fungus. And I made this.

1 svamp, 2 nötterThe title reads 1 fungus, 2 nuts. Revenge is sweet.

The challenge today at 365 cards was layering and cutting. I’ve used the new brilliant sketch from Sketch Saturday.

joyEdit: So now I've realized that I totally misunderstood the 365 cards challenge. Duh!

Have a lovely Saturday evening!

TGiF!

It’s FRIDAY! Friday is a good day. The Friday evening even better. We’ll spend the night celebrating hubby whose employment was made permanent today. He got a good bottle of sparkling white wine from his boss. It’s on ice as writing this. Yummy.

The afternoon has been interesting with President Obama getting the Nobel Peace Prize. That one came out of the blue. While listening to the radio debate about the prize, I’ve been making a card. A brown card to fit the Stamp something challenge using Lauras sketch #36 at 2Sketches4You

Grattis#3The image is a transparency from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. The PPRS Guest designer Jenny is giving away a fab blog candy with stamps and transparencies, this one included. You can find the candy HERE.

Have a wonderful Friday! I know I will! LOL!

The best thing about being J

There is a lot going on in my son's head right now. All the bad news about earthquakes, tsunamis and starvation around the world worries him. And apparently makes him grateful for the life he is living. I asked him the other day what was the best thing about being him right now and his instant answer was: Being born in Sweden. I wonderd why so? And he answered that 1. We have no VULCANOS! 2. We don't have earthquakes either. 3. And we don't have to drink dirty water. 4. Then there are no tsunamis. 5. And we don't have to starve.

topplista

And yes, I know I misspelled the title. It's not a first, and it won't be the last. And it's as annoying every time. But do I learn? Heck NO! I always find out when somebody points it out to me.I've fixed it, but I'm too lazy to take a new photo.

The challenge at 365 cards today was to pick 5 (and cs).

Bluebirds I picked patterned paper, 2 stamps – both from Artistic Outpost, Bluebird sheet – 1 stitched border and 1 piece of floss. Done.

Jigsaw puzzles...

...are fun and me and dear son spend some really nice hours with one the other night. I remembered I actually have a puzzle die somewhere in my stash that I've used like once before. That's not the way to have it! I used it for making a congratulations card for a friend. The stamps are from my fab october DT sheet of rubber from Firecracker Design stamps. Doesnät she have the coolest look!!!Tesa Oct 02

A Page in Time...

...October Kit was filled with declicious papers from Fancy Pants, Little Yellow Bicyle and Dream Street Papers. I've played with the Rough and Tough papers and rub ons from Fancy Pants .

This is another page from when we were celebrating my parent's 40'th wedding anniversary. We did have a wonderful time, but the kids were not totally cooperative. You might remember THIS page... Well, this is to be seen as the sequel... A happy ending.
I love happy endings!

Edit: Today's challenge at 365 cards was to use cross-stitching. Anybody who knows me a little knows I LOVE stitching in any shape. Sooo, I had to make a quick one. But taking photos at night nowadays when the darkness comes creeping earlier and earlier is difficult. Hence the awful colors, despite the use of FAB Indian Summer papers.

Recipe: Papers; Bazzill, Basic Grey, DCWV. Stamp; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress Ink. Stickles.

16 fantastiska bidrag kom in till min Bloggparty utmaning.

In the meantime, while waiting for the winner, here is a 8x8 page I did earlier this weekend.

Work, work, work

I had a lovely card making day yesterday. I did have to clean the house, go to IKEA, cook dinner, be a mum... but besides that I spend most of the day by my scrap desk. Today is totally another story. Today I'm working. And working. And working. (And cooking, and grocery shopping, and cleaning the guinea pigs place). I want to make cards! LOL! I had some serious addiction problems now after lunch, so I sneaked in a quick card. One might take a break, right!

This one is for the JP Hobby's (Swedish LSS), October Festival. To use ONLY black and white. I had a friend, Shelley, making a black and white card (well, actually two) a while agot, that turned out gorgeous so this challenge was perfect for me, really wanted to try that out!

Recipe: Papers; Bazzill. Stamps; Prickley Pear. Ink; Versa Fine. Mesh, lace, EK Success Punches, Kaiser pearls.

I'd better go back to my text. If I'm good, I might fit in another card or layout tonight. Have a lovely Sunday!

Happy World Card Making Day!!!

WCMD_Logo Today is the day! And I’ve spend a few early morning hours with card making. I’ll make special cards for special people today. Just because. Except the first one, which is actually a birthday card and hence not at all just because… LOL.

Brita Recipe: Papers; Bazill, Sassafras Lass, MME. Vintage image; Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. Stamp; Inkido. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress Ink. Prima flower, tag, lace, EK Success punch. Nesties.

It’s for MIL who turns 77. The vintage image is from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, and it comes in a sheet with various images with various sizes. I used it’s colors to inspire the rest of the card and I think it turned out pretty nice. I’ve used the fantastic sketch of the week over at Mojo Monday.

My second card is for a special friend I tend to meet way to seldom. But I’m thinking about her often. Thought I’d let her know.Thinking of you 2 Recipe; Papers; Bazzill, Graphic 45. Stamps; Artistic Outpost. Ink; Versa Fine, Distress Ink. Flowers; Prima, Reprint. Brads, EK success punch. Dew drops.

I’ve also made this for Artistic Outpost’s two years of business birthday celebration challenge. There is a great sketch and it’s also supposed to be either a fall or a birthday card.

This afternoon, I managed to make a third card. I’m on a go!!!

KramarAnd there is still qute a few hours left on this card making day! Yay!
